I've not heard from wwcd5215 since he last posted in his BAP thread. I'm aware that a regular forumer attempted to contact him via AIM recently, and he promptly signed out. To all intents and purposes, he has disappeared.

As I was especially vocal in reassuring investors that wwcd wouldn't cut and run (I'm particularly referring to the odious Garfunkel69 here), and since I've won a large amount of money between poker and football this weekend, I propose the following:

I'm registered in the $40k at 15:00 server time today. I'll play this tournament as though it were wwcd's FTOPS event, ie everyone who bought a share in wwcd will have an equivalent stake in me for this tournament. I'll do a 50/50 +SB split. The investors were: (copied and pasted from wwcd's BAP thread, please correct me if any of this is incorrect)

Garfunkel69- $50
Honest_Rob- $10
Stenrick- $20
Joe_King- $10
mzbuns- $10
LostOstrich- $50
supfool123- $10
Lenny_bruce- $15
Nefl1- $15
njpokerhoney- $10
st6truckie- $16

Maybe someone will be kind / intelligent enough to translate these shares into percentages. But we can always do the maths once the game's been played, if there are any winnings.

A few quick disclaimers: As mentioned, I've not spoken to wwcd at all for weeks. This is not intended to replace his obligation to his stakers, it's simply to cheer everyone up. If he comes back, he still owes the above amount of money to each investor, irrespective of how the $40k goes today.

Well LO I appreciate the effort on your part but it is not necessary for you to do this. He has an obligation to his investors to either repay the money or if he doesn't have it to atleast post something to the effect of what his plans are or what the situation is involving his account and the status of this money.

I am starting to feel bad for defending him through his account problems since he doesn't seem to want to inform his Bappers of what is going on at this time.

LO, I of course wasnt involved in the BAP but I do have an opinion. I personaly think you should not be responsible for his wrong doing. Athough it is a nice jesture on your part you should not have to use your own money for what he has done. Also I think garfunkel69 should be reinstated back to the forum cause it was him in the first place who called him out in a public thread and saw this as a scam. imo, I think wwcd should be banned instead. Slef exclusion is what he did. that means he knew he was closing the account cause he did manualy and before he closed a self excultion he knew he had other peoples money in his account and could of sent the money back. I think everyone who BAP'd himm should report him as a scammer cause it looks like from what i have read looking in from the outside is what he is doing.. Excuse after exuse is all you guys are getting.

But like I said I didnt BAP him, I am just offering an opinion. Good luck. Hope everything works out.

But still 256 (i think it was right?) seems like such a small amount to try to roll with. If it hadn't been so long since his BAP was supposed to run, I'd find it hard to believe he'd roll 256, especially since his reason for not playing it seemed legitimate. LO, you shouldn't be in any way responsible for trying to fix his err, though. Very nice gesture, however.

I really appreciate the gesture. My $10.00 was an investment in a possible profit. There's certainly no guarantee and as shown (so far) in that BAP, a cut and run is also a possibility. Personally, I can't see how anyone would ruin their reputation for that small amount of money. However, I have to remind myself, this is the internet. If you are going to do this anyway, regardless of our comments, I propose that if wwcd ever does come back and play, all the profits should go to you!

Please let's not get the wrong idea here, guys.

I'm still of the honest opinion that there's no way wwcd would roll for $200. FWIW, I don't think he'd roll for ten times that.

This is not a call-out thread, I'm just pointing out that until wwcd re-surfaces the rest of us are in limbo. I therefore thought this idea might help draw a line under it for now, as at least we all get a run for our money. And I get another excuse to play well outside my ideal buy-in level.

Gman, I strongly disagree with your post. Garfunkel was / is a volatile degenerate gambler with a huge anger management problem, and I'd more willingly see Bush get a third term than see his pathetic ramblings allowed back on here. I can't stomach the thought of genuinely funny, intelligent people like wwcd being banned, and cretins like Garfunkel being welcomed back.

I'm extremely pissed off about the lack of communication from wwcd, but I'm not here to speculate on the reasons for his disappearance. Beyond the computer screen, there's a real world out there and we all have our own circumstances.

Anyway, as stated, this thread is intended simply as a distraction from the wwcd saga. I'd prefer it if any speculation as to his whereabouts is kept to the BAP thread.
