The grandeur of what the ME is for the WSOP will be hard to resist, but CD has a good point. Financially set up your roll and plans and see if you really want to just jump into the ocean because it is the ME.
But stepping back and realizing that you can mentally do alot for yourself and continue to grow your bankroll with stellar management means you can eventually play at whatever limit you take yourself too.
Don't be hasty in YOUR decision. Just look at all the sides. Even Jesus Ferguson criticized himselfon using satellites to his MTTs during his BR experiment with reasoning.
Congrats on winning it how you did and know that you can win consistently and intelligently. |

| Honestly you should just unregister and take the T$ if you can, and take the cash. Maybe go play some smaller events or just bank the money and spend some on vacation, something like that. The ME is not worth playing espescially when you can just take $10K cash or whatever. |
That would be the stupidest thing I've ever done, and here's why (hear me out).
Three days ago I sat down in four $8 super sats. I did NOT sit down to win $12,000 and walk. If that was my plan, that was the worst bankroll management on the planet. My plan would have been to win the $8 and continuously risk it all in the next tournament until I've made $12,000.
What I DID do was say to myself that I'm going to win a seat to the main event for only $8. I did just that, by continuously risking it all until I had attained the seat. Realistically, I should have never put down the $1k for the final satellite if my plan was to just take the money. I was hellbent on winning a seat, and I got one.
It is my dream to go to the main event, especially at such a young age. I just turned 21 on May 28th. This is literally a dream come true. The actual seat is worth more than $12k to me. If somebody told me they'd give me $50k for my seat, but the catch is that I couldn't go, I would turn them down.
I'm confident enough to build my roll up and do well with what I have, even if I lose the big one. Playing in the main event though is my biggest dream.
It really is true what they say you know... money can't always buy happiness. Even if I lose on day 1, I'll be the happiest man on the planet.

Yeah, I understand he was trying to help, and I wasn't calling him stupid by any means. I was saying that for me, because it being such a big deal to me, it would be the stupidest thing that I'VE ever done.
Like I said, I'll be the happiest man in the world in a few days.... win or lose. |
