|
|
Not sure if this is in the right place or not but nevermind. Ok.... Ive been playing the $26 45 man SNG recently with a little success. What I plan to do is play 20 $8.80 (Turbo) 18 man token events. Turbo because Ive found these are significantly weaker. Total layout therefore is $176. I will then use whatever tokens I get to enter the $26 45 man SNG's. I will play all the token events first and then the 45 SNG's. Any cash I win from getting 6th in the token events I will add to my final prize pool. I believe I can make some money on this so I've decided to post it if anyone wants to follow my progress. If im successful, I may consider running a BAP similar to this in the future. I will play a maximum of 2 tables at any one time.
I have got a spreadsheet to monitor my progress. Could someone help me out my telling me how to get the spreadsheet into this window? Thanks.
Ok I will just update my progress here. I have just realised the turbo 18man token events are $8.70 so the total investment will be $174.
Number of tokens won: 9
Total Token Event Results:
1) 6/18 ($14)
2) Tie 1st (1 Token)
3) 7/18 (N/A)
4) Tie 1st (1 Token)
5) 13/18 (N/A)
6) Tie 1st (1 Token)
7) 17/18 (N/A)
8) 12/18 (N/A)
9) 12/18 (N/A)
10) Tie 1st (1 Token)
11) 12/18 (N/A)
12) 12/18 (N/A) <------- Big Cooler lol
13) Tie 1st (1 Token)
14) 13/18 ( N/A)
15) Tie 1st (1 Token)
16) 8/18 (N/A)
17) Tie 1st (1 Token)
18) Tie 1st (1 Token)
19) Tie 1st (1 Token)
20) 12/18 (N/A)
Accumulative Winnings (Cash + Token Value) ---- $248
Accumulative Winnings (Total cash) ---- $14
Ok so after playing my 20 games (thanks to a good late run), I have 9 Tokens and won $14 to give a total value of $248. Outlaying $174 im pretty happy with this, could be better but could be worse. The token events have now done their job. Time to win some REAL money. Ill update my 45man $26 tourns as I go.
Total $26 45 man SNG's:
1) 1/45 ($410.40)
2) 1/45 ($410.40) <------- 2nd in row WOW
3) 22/45 (N/A)
4) 6/45 ($52) <------ My AK suited lost to KQo.
5) 31/45 (N/A)
6) 10/45 (N/A)
7) 28/45 (N/A)
8) 2/45 ($270)
9) 31/45 (N/A)
Total Monies Accumulated (from original $174) ----- $1160.80
Total Net Profit ----- $986.80
CONCLUSION
Well this was obviously a complete success on all parts. Overall I made $986.80 and my BR is now bigger than it has ever been by quite a long way. Therefore my overall ROI was 666%. Thanks to all that railed and followed this. My big conclusion from these games is that they are definately beatable with discipline and ensuring that the beats and bad play doesnt send you on tilt. I think I countered this by only playing 2 or 3 tourns in a day instead of all in one go. I will definately be doing this again and will condsider running it as a BAP in the future. All feedback is welcomed.

| Lets see how i go. From my calculations, I have to get 7 tokens to make it worth while going into the 45msn SNG's without making any cash at all. But obv a few 6th place finishes are likely. Ill keep an accululated monies tally though. |

| Update at token tourny 9.... Im getting beat up pretty bad at the mo. Getting sucked out on alot. Although I was expecting this the play is far from good. I will continue this experiment to make money. Im still confident, if i keep getting my money in good then i think ill come through. |

| Well as the OP says, I had 9 tokens. Ive played one of my 45man SNG's and took it down for $410.40. Therefore I am $236.40 up with 8 tokens left. I will continue this experiment. It might be in a few days tho. Hopefully ill recieve some feedback in that time. |

Very Impressive. You convinced me to do the same thing. Although I dont even do the 8 dollar token games, i play the free 600 FTP or 1800 FTP ones.
The 600 are pretty rough because people are loose and you have to WIN but the 1800 ones are great....you only need 1-3 to get a token. If you have lots of FTP, i would recommend these. |
