Also, I don't know if people realize how insanely generous the added FTPs are for these. Playing normal $5 tourneys, it would take for freaking ever to amass 5000 FTPs, but you have the chance at that every week in the MBJs.

.....and that's a long time Very Happy

Still a couple weeks before i get my chat back, but i am (quietly) in for tonight! Feel free to call me names and such since i cannot defend myself.

Looks like a full, tough field tonight. The winner will be nicely rewarded and will have truly earned it. I'm hoping I finish in the top half, but would love to pull the MBJ double. Good luck all.

Then don't just flat call the flop and turn when you feel that you're leading. That was much worse of a play than me continuing the betting.

You just flat called twice, when you could have taken it down either chance, then you payed off when the board flushed. That's so much worse....really.

You could have popped it PF, on the flop, and on the turn, all of which would have won you the pot. You chose none of the above.

WOOT WOOT! I somehow took down the first MBJ NLHE event of Season 5. It continues my sick run of wins. I pulled off the MBJ double, and won 2 tournaments each day this weekend. I was told I am not allowed to post any bad beats for 6 months after this weekend. They wanted to include any bubbles, but I think I can since Cubbies created my own thread for that. GG all, dead money next week in this.

Pete's handling the leaderboard. I'm sure he'll have it put together soon.

Congrats Skeet. Nice run. Smile

perhaps this is my cashgame style of play, but i think the line i took maximizes EV relative to raising. i suspect you'd often fire the river again when you missed and i'm not entirely sure i'd be folding.

the hand i'm really annoyed about my play is this one:

***** Hand History for Game 6749977066 *****
$6000.00 USD NL Texas Hold'em - Sunday, June 08, 09:36:53 ET 2008
Table MBJ Season 5 (50939113) Table 3 (Real Money)
Seat 2 is the button
Seat 1: UFO1947 ( $3925.00 USD )
Seat 2: camltoe ( $1235.00 USD )
Seat 4: feihua ( $2660.00 USD )
Seat 5: HuJwang ( $2180.00 USD )
Seat 6: BBCOACH44 ( $1315.00 USD )
Seat 7: Flying_Kiwi ( $1430.00 USD )
Seat 8: cubbies760 ( $2315.00 USD )
Seat 9: Dan The Man ( $450.00 USD )
feihua posts big blind [$60.00 USD].
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to HuJwang [ 7d 2c ]
HuJwang raises [$150.00 USD]
BBCOACH44 folds
Flying_Kiwi folds
cubbies760 folds
Dan The Man folds
UFO1947 folds
camltoe calls [$150.00 USD]
feihua folds
** Dealing Flop ** [ 2d, 9h, Qc ]
HuJwang bets [$180.00 USD]
camltoe raises [$360.00 USD]
HuJwang folds
camltoe wins $180.00 USD
camltoe wins $720.00 USD from main pot

aside from my silly preflop raise, i really felt his flop insta-minraise was nothing and i wanted to shove, but didn't pull the trigger. i think i should have checked on the flop too.
