i just played this hand against Zophar. ive got the flush draw and i hit it but afterwards someone said "ouch" as if it was a bad play, and i must admit i feel a bit foolish but i dont know if i should.

keep in mind i know nothing about stud.

With it being Level 4, and a super-stack, not a bad play. But, a fold isn't bad either if afraid of the full house. I don't think you played it wrong, and folding after 3 4's showing would not have been bad either.

This is an easy fold on 5th. There's already 4 dead clubs and one dead ten, and you're drawing against a hand that will crush you if he fills up if he isn't already.

thanks guys, i didnt even notice that tons of clubs were gone. not used to looking at what everyone folded to help me play my hand. ill have to work on that.

I also have to agree with the fold on 5th. I might have got sucked into calling down, but Z has played it like he has you so I think you can fold that one happily there.

Here's my "Am I a donk" hand. Villain thought I had made a pair on 7th, and a long chat ensued about how terrible a player I am. But was I right to check on 6th? I usually bet on every street if I think I'm ahead but I wanted to keep the pot smallish with just a pair.

What did he think you raised with after sombody completes before you? Also, if he was beat by you making a pair on seventh, he had to know he was behind the whole way.

Even with ALL your cards live, and him having something like KJ in the whole which aren't live, you're STILL a more than a 2-1 dog on 5th street. If he's got live unpaired cards, you're more like 2.5-1. Taking into account your dead cards, you're worse than 3-1 _at best_. Only kind of drawing hand I would call here against 444 showing is something like Qc Jc Tc 9c Qs, with all your straight/flush/str flush/running boat outs live. And even then, you're at best 46%.

You must fold fifth in that first hand. Trips is so easily a full house that you could be drawing dead right now.

As for the second hand, it's very possible that you had the best hand the entire way. Don't listen to his whining.

Well since this got bumped, I'll say that 2high should have folded because of the obvious reasons. Also, Fire, don't listen to anything x1x has to say. His logic is extremely flawed and his play isn't any better.

I would say that Stud definately isnt my best game and am still learning it, secondly I actually remember that hand and I had KK under, maybee I played it badly but as I said its not anywhere near my best game.

I think all that was said was "nice pair on 7th" as I figured I wouldnt get re-raised unless he had the KK beaten, maybee I should check call like I had done - but live and learn. (I was right, he made trips on river so my KK was good till then)

Nice to get so much abuse from strangers that have so much to say about me over 1 hand sample. lol

If this hand is the best you could find for villans - you need to play more Smile
