Pre flop call isnt marginal at all imho its got 2 way potential to the nuts so looking at a flop for 1 bet is an easy call even if your out of position.
After the flop your just in a bad spot. I might bet out here just to test the waters and see where im at in the hand.
The turn is a bad card 1. You just kissed good bye to half the pot and 2. its likley one of the 2 has A2 as well or A3 so it looks like you are probly getting quartered at best here if your reads stronlgy contridect that calling down has to be done here but other wise i would just dump it. Also drawing out isnt very likley since A and 2 are usually in peoples hands in h/l.

Fold the flop. Your likely tied at best and could already be drawing basically dead aside from miracle runner runners.
Side note, what convertor did you use? |

| sticky situation......i play it out just like you did. MP2 Raiser low should be knicked also and with button just calling you can rule out 45 or k 10. |

easy call preflop... are you always going to throw away a suited A2 in the BB to a single raise? You also have a second suit, plus have a shot at the broadway straight if the flop comes all high.
However, that's one of the worst flops you could have hoped to see. Kills your low (I guess technically you could be drawing to a runner-runner 6 low, but seriously, who does that), and flopping top and bottom 2 pair when it's the A and the 2 is just a receipe for disaster. You can't even hit top two pair anymore, since the J outkicks your T and 6. Your two options in the situation should have been to take the agressive lead and bet it, or to check fold it. Check calling is a losing proposition in my mind... personally, I likely would have just check folded this, and picked a better spot in another hand. You only have two small bets invested at this point and your chances of dragging even half of this pot down are probably pretty slim with two players behind you (even donks and average players can have better cards than you or outflop you... especially in this situation).
The turn, again, is a terrible card. Now the low is there (in addition to the wheel, if anyone was holding something like A45), so you're playing for half the pot, unless for some odd reason you think you're going to scoop if a 4 or 5 hits the river, with your aces and 2s taking high and your 6 taking the low. I guess maybe you're thinking you're getting pot odds with the extra caller, but this is just suicide. There's no river card you can hit that will make you feel good about your hand (MAYBE a 2, but I wouldn't even count on an A winning it for you), and at best, you're just looking to take down half the pot.
River... well, since you've called this far, the river call was fine. No sense in making all those other calls if you're just going to fold on the river... Maybe you'll get super lucky and have A2 win the high. I'd imagine that (at a minimum) someone had a better two pair, and someone had a raggy low like 56 though. |

You need to make the right play as often as you can and the monetary results will take care of themselves.
Calling is fine (mandatory) preflop.
Check/fold would be the correct flop play. You don't have any realistic low draws and are hoping that your two pair somehow gets a piece of the pot. MP2 raised preflop and the button cold called. So one or both of them should have an ace in their hand. Even if your hand is good on the flop you have to dodge someone making a higher two pair, drawing at a low (killing your odds), drawing at a better high hand.
As it turns out, the board, your bad position, and your opponents aggression turned you into a calling station for the hand.
Save your money for a better spot where you can drive the action and have a chance at scooping. |
