|
|
WINDOWS VISTA: Anyone using windows vista beware! Most online sites are not compatible with Vista. As of this date there is no fix. If you experience crashes, no mouse, verticle lines, or freezing, you can reboot but it wont solve the problem. There are no patches or downloads to fix it.
So keep your Windows 98, XP or others.
FT and Absolute are especially weak. |

You could shorten that up to read "Windows Vista not good" and lose nothing.
Many programs seem to require being run as Administrator (which painfully defeats the whole purpose of separating user accounts). |

| I've noticed that a few sites freeze now that I am using Vista. The Cake network sites tend to freeze from time to time. I've played both Player's Only and Cake, and both rooms have froze on me. Though, with Vista the program terminates quickly, and I can log back into the vlient without missing a hand. Other than that it's business as usual. |

| I have vista and get lags, freezes and the like all the time on FTP. Its Fing annoying! I did not realise vista was the cause of this though. Lets hope it doesnt take em too long to bring out the service pack. |

| Give vista about 5 years and several hundred patches, then it will work fine. |

I run PokerStars and Full Tilt on Vista and it works (for the most part) fine. I don't see how most online poker sites aren't compatible with Vista, all of the "major sites" I play on are. Also, if you're playing on Absolute, Vista is not your biggest problem. |

Same here, working great and love it. Haven't really had any major issues since it came out - (minus some minor driver issues... unrelated to microsoft)
It just became "cool" to bash vista IMO. That or people trying to run Ultimate on 512 of ram... |
