I haven't seen a 3X happy hour either. They probably just haven't run those yet.

I'd love them to start running 3x. I'm bound to get sick of grinding out FTPs in .05/.10 tables for hours on end until I can get what I want from the store.

Off topic: Sure it makes sense for them to only sell items for FTPs (6000 FTP item = $6000 in rake for them), but for the players like me who just want a couple of freakin' plastic decks, it's a huge pain in the ass. :/

You can buy FT points in the Player Tranactions section for about $5/1k.

Visit those forums for more info.

The quickest/easiest way to get buckets of FTP's is to play in the MBJ tourneys. I scored 7,000 FTP's in the last two weeks alone ($5.50/week in entry fees).

If HORSE is not your game, Season 5 of NLHE is starting up soon...

In Season 4, 36 players raked in 293,000 FTP's... 4 players took home at least 20,000.

6000 FTP does not equal $6000 in rake. For every dollar in rake full tilt earns, EVERY player at the table receives a FTP, so at a full 9 man table, 9 FTPs are given for a dollar in rake.
Basically, when you collect x amount of FTPs, there are up to 8 other players collecting that same amount of FTPs for $x of rake.

Anyway, as for the OP, i did notice this happy hour promotion is running until the end of the year 2008. I would imagine the 3x full tilt points will start popping up eventually.

Dude, regardless of other players, when YOU have accumulated 6k points, FT has received 6k in rake. From one single players perspective, 6k points = $6k. It's not a direct exchange, I know. What I meant was that, by the time you get 6000 points, you've "witnessed" FT raking a total of $6000.

"Full Tilt Poker offers the best points reward system in the industry. (Cash)We offer you one point for every dollar in rake that is dropped, including fractional points. Most sites limit you to a maximum of one point for every hand; we let you earn up to 3 points per hand.

You can also earn points playing in tournaments and Sit & Go's. Earn 7 points for every $1 in entry fees, with no limit to the number of points you can earn per tournament."
