Great game, disappointing result. Boy, the referee couldn't mess up much more though, could he? At any rate, I hate that an entire season can be decided by penalty kicks. Most of all, I hate the Yankees of English football. They can shove that trophy right up their *** with the other 8000. |

Chelsea might not have even scored if it wasn't for the rain tbh. Van der Sar saves that goal if the pitch wasn't wet imo. But it was an amazing game, United dominated the first half and Chelsea dominated the second half. They both had a ton of chances to put away the game throughout the match, but the best team won.
Over/under on how long until Ronaldo goes to Madrid? |

Well I'm an Arsenal fan, so I wanted both teams to lose. But aside from that prejudice, it was a great final for me, just about all I could have wished for:
1.Drogba off
2.Ronaldo Misses his penalty
3.An**ka misses his penalty
4.Chelski lose
As for that twat moving to Madrid, I'm gonna go end of next season. |

Was a brilliant game, which was quite surprising as Chelsea despite all their money and big names are one of the most boring teams you will ever see, possibley why Grajnt was sacked. Pretty even in the end and I couldnt pick a winner. I'm glad Chelsea lost though as I hate them and how they have tried to buy english football......will be rather amusing when the day comes that Abramovich eventually decides to sell up and Chelsea collapse when they realise they are £500M in debt and cant pay all their stars the £100k a week they are on.
I dont really care much for Man U either as almost everybody supports them (glory hunters). I'm from Aberdeen in Scotland and the amount of Man U "supporters" in the bar I was in watching the game was hilarious. Would have been nice to see Arsenal or Liverpool win something. |

As an Everton fan, I'd add..
5. Rooney is struck by lightning and killed instantly
6. His stupid girlfriend also dies in a freak accident |

Rooney is ridiculously over rated IMO. His hype has fallen in recent years since he was a teen bursting through with THAT goal against Arsenal. As a striker you need someone to score goals on a regular basis, and yes he is fast, skillfull and strong, but he is not a natural finisher.
I think (something along the lines of) 2 goals in 2 years for England is a pretty shocking return for a player supposedly rated as world class and in the £30M bracket. I'd rather have Eto/Torres/Van Nistelrooy/Drogba (Insert any half decent striker who can sore goals here) any day of the week than him. |

Rooney is the ultimate team player. If you watch a replay of the final, in the 1st half he won the ball just to the right of his own box, ran half the pitch and dropped a 60 yard pass on to a sprinting ronaldo's left boot, and tevez should have finished the cross (but we won anyways )
NO other striker in the EPL does that week in week out, tracking back/ sprinting forward. He brings more to the team than goals. Determination and character spread through the team and he is made of the same stuff keano was. United need that to make up for the softness of the likes of ronaldo and nani.
Rooney and tevez acted as ronaldo's battering ram all season which is why he scored so many imo. He helps the balance.
I don't think its even possible to overrate rooney |

Begrudgingly agree that Rooney is definitely one of the best footballers I have ever seen. He's so much more than a striker.
He looked so much better in Blue though. |

IMO Rooney is lazy. Apart from what you mention above, he did next to nothing in the final, and was rightly substituted. If United really are after Huntelaar in the summer, he could be in danger of finding himself on the bench. And yes I realsie he brings more to the team than goals as he is a creative player (and thank God because as a front player he really does not score enough goals, especially for £30M). It is possible to over rate Rooney, because for a striker he is over rated - he is not a goalscorer, if he played in central midfield that would be fine. Give me Torres or Berbatov ahead of Rooney any day of the week. |
