Well, 1500 bucks and a second place finish at that table - I'm plenty happy with that.

Cheers all, and thanks for the encouragement.

Nice job on the big cash. I would have come to watch if I saw this in time. That should at least cover a few car payments for your new car Smile

On a side note, I played a few of the Step 1s a couple nights ago, and you were right, they are really soft. They play just as bad as the $1 games. I saw guys calling 4x raises with Q3s and calling all ins with A2s in a 3 way pot. Will definately try more of these in the future.

Very good man. I'll try this step thing out. What's a decent level to actually start at? 2? 3?

Start at step 1 - You can play a bunch of em for cheap, and then move on.

From my experience, the difficulty level is this:

Step 1 - Easy, easy, EASY!!! - The play here is so bad, it's almost unbelievable. (of course, that means, TONS of variance)

Step 2 - Moderate - Better players start here.

Step 3 - Fairly difficult
- it's still an early step, but people in this one seem more driven.

Step 4 - Easy/Moderate
- This one is interesting. It's the first one that's not a turbo, so everyone tightens up a lot. The payout table is better, and it's actually fairly easy to either stay here or move on.

Step 5 - Moderate
- This is very much like step 4, except that there are a bunch of online pros who use this to get into step 6.

Step 6 - VERY DIFFICULT
- This table regularly reads like a who's who of online pros, and they don't give a crap about second.

These reads are based on my experiences only, and I'm sure they play differently all the time. But be warned, the big names are swimming at every level (Micon was playing in over half the Step 1s that I played). I would encourage everyone to try em out. I'm starting back at Step 1, and hopefully will make it though them all again.

Im going to try some of these out on Stars until FTP gets them (if they do). Stars have shootout tournaments where top 3 advance by chance?

If it makes you feel any better, had you won, you probably would have attracted some attention for playing Online Poker in washington state, which is a felony (Whoo I'm a Washingtonian too =))

Congratulations all the same =)

I'm up to Step 5 again.

One more win, and I'm back up to the big boy's table.

I LOVE THESE!
