I was thinking about running a SNG BAP, and would like some feedback. About a month or so ago, I had some pretty good success in the $11+1 9-player turbos on FTP (the huge upslope on my sharkscope). I then proceeded to lose most of it when I started multi-tabling them during the last SNG Madness promotion (the large downslope afterwards on my sharkscope). I now know not to try that again, and I am ready to try to re-establish a roll on FTP again, and hopefully make some money for you guys in the process. I transferred what I had left on here over to Stars (they were having a 100% reload bonus for previous ePassporte users) and have been playing there for the last few weeks, and have been doing pretty well in the $6.50 9-player turbos.
This is what I had in mind:
-A series of 10 or 20 $10+1 9-player SNGs (non-turbo). I would personally prefer to do 20 just to reduce the variance if I were to take a couple of early bad beats. Also choosing non-turbo for the same reason, since it is a short series of SNGs.
-70/30 split + SB
-I would sell 20 or 40 $5 shares, respectively, depending on what has been decided on. I will buy whatever extra shares are needed to cover the rake.
I am new to this, so I am open to suggestions, and please let me know if I have left anything out.
Feel free to look at my SharkScope on both FTP and PokerStars, my name is mgodd on both.
Thanks for your time. |

| I'm pretty sure you'll get some interest, sng baps are usually pretty +ev. I gotta warn you though it is harder to manage than you would imagine :/. |

I think your stats look good enough to give this a shot. To minimize the confusion, I'd suggest choosing (1) particular game, such as $10 9-handed SNGs, and make the 1st (20) that you play part of your BAP. I'd also suggest that you choose a site, and do them all there, in a short period of time.
You could also make a post in your BAP thread stating that, "I'm gonna play (6) consecutive $10 SNGs beginning at 18:00 today, and then continue with the rest tomorrow. I'll update the starting time(s) for tomorrow's lot of games."
It's going to be difficult to manage if you play some of these SNGs outside of your BAP, because your investors won't be clear as to which one's apply to the BAP.
I'll invest if/ when you do this. |

I agree completely. To eliminate confusion, everything will be played on FTP, all games will be played consecutively (not all in one day or anything, but no games outside of the BAP will be played until the BAP is complete). Anything I choose to play with own my money will be done on Stars.
Thanks to both of you for your interest. |

I'd invest also, let me know once you have the logistics all figured out.
Thanks,

Cool, thaks guys. Just to add a few more things and clear a few things up:
-All games will be no limit holdem
-I will be playing 20 of the $10+1 non-turbos (9 players)
-I plan on playing an average of about 3 per night (+/- 1 depending on what time I get off work on that given day)
-Will sell (40) $5 shares, and I will buy the other 4 shares myself to cover the rake
-I will annouce early each day how many I plan to plan and what time I will start
-I will post results from each SNG immediately after each one finishes
-Stakeback will be given back from the total profit from the SNGs, and then the remaining profits will be split amongst you based on # of shares
I will probably wait a few more days before I actually post the BAP request to see if there is any more interest or any other questions or anything. Thanks |
