I don't mind having 1 player advance in a Doubleshoot or Tripleshoot for a Satellite into another tournament (ie 750K)

If you going to have a $26 Shoout tournament the Top 3 players from each table should move on. Not the top 1 player. As some players already stated there would be less interest.

Top 3 players would be more welcomed by all players because anyone can think they are good enough to finish top 3.

PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!!!

they have those as $69 + $6 sngs where top 3 advance to the tourney. reason being is cause the $24 + $2 tourneys you only add the $24 into the prize pool. meaning if the buy in for the tourney that it satillites into is $216 thats $24 times 9 = $216 meaning 1 winner. it doesnt count the whole $26 cause $2 is a rake.

Yeah, I was actually shocked when I read the update and it said top 1 for the shootouts. This needs to be changed to top 3 IMO. I am not sure who makes the final decisions on these type of things on FTP but someone is really dropping the ball here. This would be a huge interest tournament if its done like the typical top 3 move on shootouts. Im really curious who makes these decisions sometimes.

I could understand if the shootouts were 9 handed, but since FTP seems to have 6 max, I think this is fine with only 1st moving on.

Yeah..

I'd prefer a top 3 move on system as well.

Would be nice to have the true 3 person move on shootouts so you get bigger fields. Those tournaments are hugely popular elsewhere. I hope they looked into MTT HU before they throw it in. Im really confused about how they make some of these key decisions sometimes. The more people that are drawn to this site, the better. It effects everything.

Okay I waited a few days before responsing to my own post. I gave FTP some time to create some Shootout tournaments.

Here are the issues

(1) Still no Modified Shootouts Tournaments - 3 players advancing from each table advancing. This would generate good buzz, I think 1 player advance will create smaller fields. Although I don't mind 6 player max table the winner advancing.

(2) I like the sats FTP has done with the shootouts. You can get into a big sat cheaply.

(3) I like the heads-up Shootouts

We just need to give them time and let them develop the Modified Shootout Tournaments.

The HU MTT shootouts are nice, they should add more. The other shootouts need to be top 3 advance except for maybe satellites, the ones for money certaintly should be. Im still not sure why they werent done in the typical fashion except to think maybe it was an error but hopefully someone from FTP is reading/listening.

My first post on this forum, was requesting 3 person advancing shootouts. I have to admit after the long wait, my excitement quickly faded when I saw the format. I kept money on another site exclusively for this reason.

Winning money in the 1st round and having a freeroll the rest of the rounds was very appealing, without having to beat the whole table to do so. I believe the action to be quicker, when you only have to play to final 3. It may even out by final table, but the wait between rounds would be much shorter.

Party Poker won't allow me to play there anymore, but i sure miss their shootout format.

+1, would be nice if FTP got this right. Its such a great option at other sites. Party did it the best and those tournaments were extremely popular. I was excited about the shootout tournaments until I saw what they did with them also. Is anyone from FTP looking into having standard shootout tournaments?

A shootout is a tournament format that differs from a standard tourny.

In a shootout, you have rounds of action. In the 1st round the tables play down to a specified number of winners(i.e. top 1,2,3). Round 2 starts when all tables in round 1 have finished. They are combined and the process starts all over again until you get to a final table and eventually a
winner.

Typically, the winners in each round get paid a % of the prize pool accordingly.
