|
|
If I'm able to put some extra roll together on Stars, I'd like to enter some FTOPS event (s)..... No, let me be optimistic and say" I'm going to play great poker for the next few days so I can enter an event or 2"
Problem is, moving money is a little more difficult for me without epassporte, and I'm not sure I'd be able to move the money back and forth in time to enter an event... The event I'm currently eyeing up is #19, $200+16 on Friday 5/16 (maybe others if things go exceptionally well?!)
My username is dukeryan on both stars and tilt, and I spend a majority of my time on stars (as much as I love FT, my numbers just aren't as good over here)...
I just wanted to get a thread rolling now rather than wait til the last minute, and not get anything done if needed... I'm willing to make the first trade via stars, and maybe do them in 4 increments of $54 to reduce my risk of losing, or whatever an experienced trustworthy swapper suggests.
Hoping to need help
Side note: If someone sees me at the tables, I have table chat off, but observer chat on.. Figured I'd mention this if anyone tried to discuss this if we were at the same table |

Most trades are accomplished within a day, so 'bumping' your request 2-3 days before you'll need funding should allow plenty of time.
It's best to avoid any communication unless it is posted here. Too many people have fallen victim to scammers to rely on PM or chat as a reasonable alternative.
Post here when you're ready, and if you get a reply from a new member, then await the advice of a veteran trader. |

I don't believe tranfers will allow you to get the deposit bonus. |

my bad.
I read it too quickly and thought he just said bonus (which I thought referred to the bonuses people received due to delayed cashouts).
I do not think that a player transfer will affect a deposit bonus, but obv wait til you hear from FTP on this |

The way I understand it (and I agree, check with FTP support first) is that your deposit bonus has to do with your first deposit, up to $600. They then give you a 100% bonus, up to 600, on the condition that you play. After a bit of play, your bonus gets released, in stages.
Consider that first 600 untouchable. Don't transfer it away. That will void the bonus, and I can see FTP's point: you promised us 600 of being a 'player' and we gave you 600, and with some transfer, you wanna now say that you're only putting 400 in, because you're transferring 200 away? No, don't do that.
But if you put in 600, don't touch it, and your pal transfers you 300 more, feel free to transfer away any portion of that 300 above the 600 of 'untouchable' money. |

Dr. Pmarrsouth did actually suggest to me that I might be wrong. I then volunteered (always one to press an advantage) that I would go find, on the website, the Terms and Conditions, and review the situation, and let him know.
Professor Pmarrsouth allowed as how that would be most satisfactory, and indeed I did undertake that search, although it isn't as easy to find on that website as it might have been. I did indeed find the link, in the FAQ related to the first-deposit bonus. http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/about-faq
His Eminence, The Most Right Reverend Pmarrsouth, appears to have been, well, most right. Transferring away, according to the website, does not affect the bonus: the actual paragraph reads:
"Withdrawals and player to player transfers will not affect your bonus in any way. The money in your Full Tilt Poker account is yours to use as you wish, so feel free to deposit, withdraw, and transfer while you earn your deposit bonus!"
I trust that this clears up the smallish, not statistically signifcant, 'technical difficulty' with my earlier answer.
Your Humble Servant,
Abominable |
