So to start the story, one of my friends who works at my school newspaper needed a story to write before the end of the school year. So he asked me if he could do a story on me playing poker. I gave him my permission and he interviewed me and watched me play a session of 50NL. He then wrote an article out and took my picture and it got put in the school newspaper earlier this week.

So then someone on 2+2 that goes to my school (I don't know him personally) posted a thread about my article and how lame it was. Then at least ten 2+2ers came and railed me for a session of HU posing as students from my school and it was kind of funny. Then when my opponent left I played against one of them. Here is the link:

I didn't really find it that funny.

I read through the entire thread, and most of the people posting in it came off looking like ass_holes, imo. Obviously they are all gods gift to poker and playing .25/.50 is beneath them.

Anyways, glad you took some money off one of them, even if it was only $14. Smile

I think the funny part is how anyone who posts in 2+2 automatically assumes that just hitting the post button makes them a better/winning player. Equating the average reader in say BBV or NVG forums with most of the strat forums is the funny part. You go to HSNL or HSMTT and ask how many of them frequent the zoo?

Those guys are losers with too much free time. I mean, the guy who brought this up must have been jealous that you got the attention from the school newspaper and not him.

Yeah, it is definately a funny article if you're a poker player. My friend really talked it up like I was playing really high, even though it was just 50NL and 100NL. I'd find it funny if I read that about another player too. He's definately not jealous of the "attention" I'm getting (which is none except on 2+2).
