Phil Gordon interviewed Mike Matusow for his podcast today, with some funny dialogue:
Phil: "What advantage do you gain by talking so much at the table"
Mike: "Well I don't talk anymore because I can't win a pot. After I
win a pot I'll start talking, but after I haven't won a pot in a month,
I can't talk"
Phil: "Well you've been killing the online games right?"
Mike: "Well no, I was killing the online games, that was two weeks ago.
Now I'm officially on like suicide watch."
Phil: "Well I saw the new car you bought with your online winnings."
Mike: "It's up for sale currently, below market value."
The whole thing is at http://www.expertinsight.com/_Podcast.html along with an interview with Richard "Quiet Lion" Brodie, which goes back into his history as the programmer of Microsoft Word. |

What can one say about Mike the Mouth...I think that the verbal assaults coming from his mouth are masking something much deeper and it has nothing to do with poker..This guys got problems. Lot's of problems.I for one think that he's still using.
Alcohol, coke, crank, meth. Take your pick. Still think he's some kind of poker ambassodor? I don't.
Think he's still dealing? Maybe.
I know that the F.B.I. caught him red-handed and he went to the "big house".
Once a user , always a loser. This guy is giving all of us a bad name and much to much attention is being placed on him. The bigwigs at FTP are not doing themselves or the poker world at large any favors by trying to make some kind af hero or something out of this guy.....Thank-you...

| If you don't know the guy personally you shouldn't talk. How can you pass judgement on a person from watching 10 minutes of edited tv? |

| If you cant be a little more understanding to a guy who obviously is wrestling with some pretty big demons then do us all a favor and spare us the " holier than thou "diatribe ! |

Wow. Nothing like pure innuendo and speculating. Why don't you completely throw him under the bus?
How does Mike Matusow's personal problems reflect on all poker players?!? I don't think more or less of football players because of the Vikings sex barge. I didn't even know the guy went to jail until I saw it during the ESPN coverage. I wish him luck and hope he's gotten it all straightened out. |

| Let me just say that I do know mike personally and you are so misjudging him. He is a very good guy. And yes he did make some mistakes in his life. Who of us haven't. He cares tremendously about his friends and I consider myself very lucky to have had him as a part of my life for about 7 years. I haven't seen him for 4 but know if I needed his help he would be there. A lot of poker players get messed up in the wrong things. It's a rougher life than you know. Hopefully if you are ever in the same situation you will be better. All I know is you would all be lucky to know a man like Mike. |

Like they say out on the road..."Dont worry about what happend back there....Look foward...Worry about whats up ahead"... As for the verbal assaults....Thats just good entertainment...I'm sure we have all had our own Matusow moments at the tables.... |

"Once a user , always a loser"
Wow. You really are very ignorant.
I'd bet that you interact with a drug addict regularily in your life. Your professor, your teller, your doctor, your boss... someone you know. Living their silent troubles. I've seen this first hand and I thought I knew the signs of such behavior. It blew me away.
You're not a drug user... you're just judgemental and ignorant. That's MUCH better. |
