A friend I play with on full tilt told me about rakeback.com. I went there and read about how to get back a part of your rake. The site said you needed to uninstall the software, reinstall it and create a new account. I did just that. I funded the account through firepay and began to play. I never played the old account and the new account at the same time. FTP suspended my new account and explained why. I have no problem with that. However, there was a balance of around $500 in that account at the time they suspended it. It was all my own money. I have sent numerous emails asking to have it refunded to firepay. Support has not responded even once. It looks like FTP intends to keep my money. Any suggestions as to how to proceed?

Trust me the thought crossed my mind. If they decide to keep my money, there is nothing I can do about it. Seems pretty **** though.

Are they a member of a Better Business Bureau? I didn't read anything in their client agreement form about forfeiture of funds except for cases of collusion or illegal acts. Assuming you haven't done that, which it doesn't sound like you have, I'd say what they've done is illegal.

I don't think the BBB will do any good. Technically online poker is illegal in the US. Because of that, their site is located somewhere offshore. As a US citizen, I have absolutely no legal recourse.

word of advice. The Rake is PART of the game, dont try and go around it. If you dont like the rake dont play. Not trying to sound like an ass, but why would you try to get around that?

I appreciate your input captain. However, this is a service that Full Tilt subscribes to to bring in new players. I guess they think of it as an advertising expense. It isn't getting around the rake.

Hey, tarl!! I just posted a message, hoping for a bit of your feedback, I suppose, and thought you might be notified by a reply to your own posting.

If it isn't too much trouble, I'd greatly appreciate you taking a look at what I posted and let me know what you think.

Let me apologize if I shouldn't have used you as a reference, but I found it convenient that our situations were EXACTLY alike.

Thanks in advance!!

Um. Because you can legitimately get rakeback paid to you. If you want to pay full rake then thats your choice but free money is always good.
