Damnit, you jammy pricks! Make me mod for a day! I've paid lots of money in rake here and even have a FT hat that I keep at the bottom of the cupboard under some junk. I promise to do an exemplary job of it. If people like IAboomer and ukcat45 are given mod positions, then I think I'm easily capable. I'm cut from the right cloth for this job. I've got the right stuff. I know how to eat donuts and click the 'delete post' button.* I know how to tone down my sarcastic remarks and put Smile things after it so it's weak and inoffensive.

Here's my CV:

-Huge post count
-Very serious dude
-Vast modding experience

Vote Kiwi in 08 before it's too late (or 09, or some other year that doesn't rhyme with late).

*(sometimes prone to fits of batch deleting)

The picture looks like it came from Michael Jacksons new TV show " Queen For A Day "

I think we need to have a Chillbot/Kiwi sub-form where they can post-whore to the death. Winner gets to be Mod for the day and delete all the posts from the loser.

That is insulting to me, I've never post-whored in my life and I take great pride in every one of my 1,500ish posts (except the drunk ones, and even some of them).

Look at my join date compared to yours and Kiwi's and then look at my post count compared to yours and Kiwi's.

I vote tranquilizers, or other mood-altering substances.

How about we open the "Mod for a day" forum up to a posting competition and let the community score individual posts. Maybe you fire off 50 posts, but they're mostly ranked 9/10 whereas Kiwi makes 200 posts, but they're mostly ranked 2/10.

You score 450 (50x9). He scores 400 (200x2). You win the posting challenge and get to be Mod.

Love that you used CV in a thread- that should be worth 2 posts and full-time mod. Very Happy

I think we should let the democractic process run it's course, at least until the 'nos' take over - in which case I'll cry 'rigged' and demand the post off with chillbot.

"Reuters:
FTP forum moderator IABoomer has recently been indicted on 2 counts of attempting to subvert the democratic process."

I don't blame him, if I become mod there's going to be some big changes around here. Big changes. I'll even consider a forum-wide donut redistribution program for the non-mods. Now I bet that scares you witless, huh boomer?

Chillbot - I took due note of your copyright on the Mod for a Day slogan - but this is politics, you got to play dirty sometimes. I'm not going to back down on this one. Have your lawyers contact my lawyers. I'm too busy running this campaign to be bothered with the legality of it. Your Mod for a Day campaign is more like running to sit on the PTA, whereas my Mod for a Day campaign is more like trying to be the mayor's official © letter opener.
