Laurie Anderson, a professional stripper, dealt for some of the games and served liquor, often topless.

Doubtful.

I know from experience that the neighbor issue is a big deal in regards to home games.

Our home game has had to move around a bit between 3 or 4 homes because of the neighbors getting pissed. It's usually only (1) neighbor, though.

In a typical residential neighborhood, parking is an issue. People coming and going constantly at all hours of the night is a bigger issue. Bad beats don't help things either when someone tilted off their roll and proceeds to leave in a tirade with doors slamming and squealing tires at 2AM.

There was one time (at my house) that I had a fairly large tourney on a weeknight, and had about 40 people in for the game. We had just gotten about 10 inches of snow throughout the day, but the players still came out. The police were at my door shortly after the game started because the snow plows (and other cars) couldn't fit between the parked cars.

That was the last game here for about 6 months, then things resumed with some restrictions.

I have no problems with my home games. I live on 50 acres and have a large heated pole barn. Funny, when someone gets a bad beat and starts screaming outside, All they get to see is a couple of cows looking at them.

No but sometimes when to much beer has been drunk from some players, they talk to the cows more often. Ever have a cow step on your toe ? It will give you a new look on life.

I would suggest that silicone was more responsible for that bust.

ba dum ching*

this is actually a fan*fuggin*tastic idea. i wonder how much a stripper would charge to deal cards. hire a stripper, sell liquor for at least 3x the price, plus maybe a small entrance fee, plus rake - stripper$$ = profit, imo.

In south miss the casinos put an end to most home games simply by opening, now most people just head to the casinos on the weekend,it was the competition that stopped the home and local tavern games.
