I love the feeling of making a read with ace hi and it being right. I couldn't put him on anything except a busted draw on this hand. Also for any beginners don't raise AJ UTG, it'll save you from getting into these situations

| Only min. raise preflop ? Sometimes it's better to win a small pot than lose a big pot. |

| I have to say that I fail to see the point of this thread. As a strategy post it really lacks any kind of strategy discussion. As a brag post it's kinda weak (and in the wrong forum) considering that your line seems pretty standard. I mean I guess I could see betting the turn for protection, a free showdown and to get value from draws, but other than that how could you play it differently? |

Other forums exist on here Anyway. Calm down. Not like the LHE section gets a ton of traffic and when it does others can post little things that make them smile.

I am calm, but confused as to why this thread was created. It's seems a bit like posting about betting an overpair for value on all 3 streets and getting called down by worse to me.
Btw, putting a villain bad enough to take that line with A9 on only a busted draw seems a bit weird. I mean I obviously think he has one often enough to make the river an easy call, but he could also easily show up with a pair or better |

My fault. I didn't realize this place was so heavily moderated. I'll post in the proper forums from now on. You act like it's as if I post total crap on a constant basis. Can't have a feel good thread about LHE in the LHE forum cause it's not discussing what you deem to be strat.
Also I put him on the busted draw because if he had 2 overs and the draw on the flop I feel he either leads or check/raises. I feel he c/r if he hit any pair on that flop as well. The turn as far as I was concerned was a brick to the range I thought he had on the flop which was two small clubs but there's no value in betting the turn, if he has what I think he has I'm ahead but not by a whole lot and he's not folding that hand. The Q hit the river and he paused in a way that made me think he was actually thinking about checking but threw out a desperation whiff bluff.
There's the thought process and the little strat you seem to have been wanting. |

My posts in this thread haven't been so much about the thread being in the wrong forum or trying to impose some sort of quality control as they've been about me trying to understand what made you make the OP. There are plenty of threads similar to this one with NL hands in other sub-forums, I just thought you played enough limit to run into situations like this on a daily basis or close to it.
Since you seemed to view my previous posts as some kind of personal attack I should probably add that they weren't, and neither is this one. Very few of my posts are personal either way, and I try to keep the ones that are personal in a negative way to an absolute minimum. I ask questions because I like asking questions and I talk about poker because I like talking about poker. Sometimes I also argue because I like arguing and moderate because, well, I'm a moderator.
When I post as a moderator I try to make that clear, and unless I'm giving you a reason for locking/moving a thread or telling you that something is against the rules, it's probably safe to assume that I'm just posting as another forumer.
Now let's turn this completely into a strat thread since we're on our way anyway. If he's raising/donking overs and a draw and any pair, isn't he doing that with a combo draw as well? If he is, the only hands with small clubs he could have are 32cc and 42cc. When the number of combos that fit a read is that limited you're going to be wrong quite a lot, unless your read is extremely accurate, simply because there are so many more combinations of the other hands he'll take that line with at least some small percentage of the time. Also, wouldn't he peel the flop with quite a few queens? Q8 and Q9 both have gutshots and QJ+ all have two overs with at least some kind of backdoor draw. |
