I had no specific information on my opponent, he had been playing quite tight. Anyhow here is what follows...

On the flop I checked because I wanted to encourage a semibluff from either of the opponents. I choosed to check-raise and when he just called me I put him on a draw. The turn made a straight possible but if he had made it I would probably have at least 8 outs (probably more because of flushdraw)) so I decided to call him.
Any comments appreciated (Also I wonder, is there a good hand converter for PLO?) |

It's quite possible he flat called with a straight here... there's a flush draw, and he's likely putting you on a set. With the vulnerability of a straight on a board like this in Omaha, it's not uncommon to flat call with the straight and push on a safe turn when the opponent only has one card to draw. In any case, he almost certainly hit a straight on the turn if not before, and you're only getting 2.5:1 on your money with 10 outs (4.5:1 to hit). If your flush is good, you can add 9 more outs, but since you have him on a flush draw already (quite possible he's got both the straight and a better flush draw), I don't think you can count them.
Not to mention if he's sitting on KK or QQ with a flush draw, you're basically dead. So I guess I'm folding the turn as played... but hating life.
IMO you would have been better off with a leading bet or a smaller reraise. Bottom set in Omaha isn't something you want to slowplay, especially on a draw heavy board like this. You'd have a better read on your opponent's hand and you wouldn't be so deep into the pot if you had to get away. |

Thank you for the comment!
It turned out he had a set of kings so I was in a really bad shape, at least I had my flushdraw but the best hand held up. |

| I play my bottom set or even 2nd to best set very careful. If I bet and they re raise me to pot, MOST of the time I will fold unless I have some other kinda draw. |

Yeh bottom set is a very very tenuous hand in omaha. IT depends on your position, if it gets checked to you and your in late position, go ahead and take a stab at it, but be warned, if you bet the pot with bottom set, and are raised the pot, you should almost always fold it. Even if they have only top two or some kind of monster draw, i don't like it, no card can come (unless you make quads) that will make you feel confident in your hand. There is however one exception. Against a preflop raiser, if i flop any set and do not see an ace or king on the board, i will push. Is it always right, no, but more times than not you are way ahead of a pair of dry aces or kings. That's the only time i feel you should be somewhat agressive with bottom set. |
