After a couple of big race losses and 1 bad jam, I finally held up on a great flop. Sorry about using a screen shot, my HH's are not saving correctly right now(atleast they're not where they are supposed to be.
I open raised, BB pots it and I smooth call preflop. Flop, BB pots, I pot, BB allin, I call. My equity vs. their range is pretty large.

NH. The river usually brings the 5 spades for me...
When he pots the flop, I probably put him on AA and draw trouble like 34, or K2/K3.
I'm sure you want him to committ on the flop, but would you make a case for smooth calling again here, in case the turn brings a total blank (K,Q,T,9,5). Just because the pot size would probably allow you to shove and get called on a later street anyway if a favorable card hits.
Plus you know he's potting again if a blank hits the turn and your call might be a smaller controlled amount, since he's obv not folding. |

Villian was somewhat consistent in their actions following this pre and post flop line. Their turn action would either be pot it again or check/fold.
Given their 3 bet from the BB, I was about 90% sure they had aces and
atleast 1 wheel card, typically a duece. I wouldn't have felt as confident about their exact range if it were a CO raise-BTN 3bet, but it would still be even a small range here. Basically their 3 bet range is very narrow.
The only hand I'm facing that I'm a dog against is specifically KKA3. Everything else I'm +EV. I also put KKA3 on the tail end of their range.
If I smooth call the turn, it blanks or pairs the board(aside from the 2) I have a much more difficult time calling or shoving a pot size bet here. With the J that fell, I would've been calling regardless, but that's irrelevent.
Given my EV, the flop, my opponent and their range, I'm looking to get all in on this flop.
A couple of hands run through 2 dimes, incl. their specific:
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
Ac Jc 3c 2d 385 412 376 32 450 36 9 0.616
As 2s 4c Ah 199 376 412 32 108 378 9 0.384
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
Ac Jc 3c 2d 51 214 547 59 0 0 520 0.338
3s Kd Ah Kh 249 547 214 59 0 0 520 0.662
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
Ac Jc 3c 2d 146 426 318 76 0 12 483 0.519
As 3d Ah 7h 147 318 426 76 84 0 483 0.481
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
Ac Jc 3c 2d 130 356 324 140 0 0 520 0.507
As 3d Ah 2h 138 324 356 140 0 0 520 0.493
Notice that against even these other big hands, I still have +EV. |
