You can make no mistakes and still lose, but I already expect you know this. This is only a tough beat if that loss is more than you were planning to lose in one session, but I assume you already understand bankroll swings especially playing NL cash. Personally, I like the fact that you got someone pushing all their chips in with a 30% chance of winning. In fact, I like better that you got all YOUR chips in with the best hand and made the best decisions out of the group. F*ck the result, be proud of your decisions. If the result is too hard to bear, bump down limits or go to limit poker, but then again, you already know this (I'm pretty sure anyway). Carpe Diem Jaconda, you are destined for greatness.

Haha, thanks, dead. I know that the swings happen, and as I said, I want that call every time. It was more than i was planning to lose, but only because I always plan to win! I did not lose money I could not afford to, and the swing did not hurt my roll significantly. However, losing a pot that large is always a blow to the gut. Sad. Ah, well - I'll just have to win it all back, right?

make the big bet on the turn when u make the big bet on the flop, the flush draw will not fold. Smooth call or make a small raise on the flop , which is correct. If there is no diamond on the turn, go all in, the only way to call is if the person has a pair and the flush draw. Most players will fold to the big bet on the turn and the person will usually have at least second pair to call, tough beat but the flush draws do not usually fold till the turn

Ok, my one and only bad beat thread - none of my friends are around and I had to share. Any criticism of my play is of course appreciated, but I think I played it pretty much perfectly, and got the exact result I wanted. Not to brag or anything. Obviously a call I want every time, but still - ouch.

I'm going to assume the above comment was a joke, as my tuition is currently being payed by the wonderful fishies over at pokerstars. Don't even get me started on the "riverstars" topic - It's not rigged, and that's that.

Heh. Sorry - I hear about "riverstars" all the time while I play there, and am heartily sick of it. More often than not, the person's not joking, either. So forgive me if I came off as harsh - I certainly meant no disrespect. Peace? Laughing
