I loved playing a Horse tourney, and always thought I was a fair Omaha player. I was wrong, I suck.
Please help me.
In reviewing this hand, I think I missed two bets. Any constructive thoughts greatly appreciated.

| It's hard to judge your hand because in play chips people will call no matter what. When you flopped top set with a flush draw on board, you did good by making a pot sized bet. Once you were raised though, you should have then put the pressure on and made a large raise. By calling, you could have let someone hit the flush. You played fine on the turn and made a great laydown on the river. |

This should've been raised pre-flop. You have a very strong hi/lo hand and you need to make use of it. Even though you're in early position, the raise would be useful.
I also agree with the suggestion for re-raising the flop here. You have people all too willing to chase, so make them pay dearly for it.
The turn's fine. People may still chase for no reason, and they're getting horrible odds to do it considering hi is all but yours and connecting with lo gives them only half the pot.
The river would make me cry, but giving someone a T in this situation isn't far-fetched considering the flop and turn play. So a nice laydown there especially if you thought you were beat. I wouldn't have announced I'm laying down AA here as people might try to run me over in the future. |

That's a really good point in any type of poker game. Even if you are making the biggest lay down, just muck it like you would if you got caught bluffing. If they know you are willing to make a big lay down, you will find yourself folding the best hand a lot. |

Thanks for the help, looking back it seems obvious.
I am too afraid to raise pre-flop, but that sure was the hand to do it with.
Announcing the lay-down was more comfortable at the time based upon the chat that had been occuring, but I really see your point. I need to be more protective of my table image. |
