your bet on the river was definetly correct, but you should have just called when he completed. when he is showing a 2 there is no reason to cap it with 567. He was most likely on like an 8 draw but your pot odds were no doubt right to make that last 100 bet. Nice play.

I was on an A256 draw....

The cap on 3rd will usually help there, though althought it didn't make a difference here since I ended up with a Q low.. (I would've never thought he paired anything because of his cap on 3rd...)

I should mention that I was completely screwing around on 3rd. This hand is with a fellow forumer when I accidentally signed up for razz (which I actually hate), and saw PokerAA waiting. I figured I'd play it for fun.

As this hand progressed, I felt that he had paired on 5th, which makes my hand look like a made 8 high.

lol. his reraise on 3rd was just simply wrong. You clearly have the better hand... why raise? Saying that you wouldn't think he paired because he capped it is just silly. if he caps it there he can have a2, a3, 23, 34, 46.. etc. So many things he would cap it with there, anything lower than a 7 IMO. You can not possibly assume someone didn't pair because they capped and their next card is good, thats silly logic.

You didn't mention an 8, and a 6 is only a part of a few of those hands. This gives me good reason to assume he didn't pair..

There are many more hands in this case where he wouldn't have paired, so I'll asume he paired, but this didn't matter at all this hand anyway...

I can see that play working BUT you have to get really lucky, so it's not a good play, though.

YOu played that hand fine cubbies. Your raising on the 3rd paid off big time when AA (THE HERO!!) pulled a Q.

On 6th street even though you had not completed you know for a fact he is still sitting on Q high. He was not afraid of your 8 so you know he was going for a 6 high.

On 7th the only way you could win the hand was to bet, good job recongnizing that. Had AA called unless he had 3 pair he would have won. He believed you had completed to your 8. You took and awful chance but it paid off.

Capping and reraising on the 3rd is never a good idea (IMO) as one has no idea how the draws will come. In this case it played well into your deception. AA himself had said how it made him think you had not paired.

Good job with a hand that went terrible. You had more moxie than AA that hand, for shame Poker AA, for shame.

LOL Just kidding AA, you know I hold you in the highest regard.
