What's your move there? Should I have played this more passively? More agressively? |

| I don't like the hand generally, but because of the situation, you have to play it. When he pairs his doorcard on 5th, I'd usually try a check/raise here to define where I am immediately. If he reraises he likely has the set, if he smooth calls he's likely 2 pair at best and you can continue. I don't like to generally bet into a paired doorcard. It's a toss up whether to continue here, you have to go with your gut. You could actually be ahead. |

| I would check behind on 5th. Even if you are ahead, its probably not by much. You aren't giving up that much by checking. I don't understand why you are asking us what we would do on 6th. You should be asking us what we would do on 5th after he checkraises you. The way you are posing the question, it seems like you think you should autocall on 5th because you already put money in on 5th, but that the decision is on 6th, because you haven't yet put money in on 6th. If you are calling on 5th, call on 6th. If you want to fold on 6th, you should have already folded on 5th. |

I was last to act, how am I supposed to check-raise?

I ended up folding on 6th, but after looking back on it I think it was the wrong move. I should have maybe just checked behind on 5th. Is it possible that he was just a bad player who was just going to ram and jam regardless because he was shortstacked? He showed no agression until he caught his pair of 8s, could that possibly mean that that's all he had? If I remember correctly he wasn't that great of a player. If he has like 2288T am I really that behind? I think that if he had a pair of 8s off the bat he would have been more agressive since he's shortstacked, so is it that likely he has three of a kind? |

Sorry my error. Don't know what I was thinking at the time. The more I think about it, I really have no idea where I got that from. |
