ive started playing stud mostly 1-2. i find it very difficult to play a big pocket pair against 4-5 ppl who call ur complete bet.i know ur supposed to push aces but what do u do when so many ppl call u down?

Well, if 4 or 5 people are in on 5th street (when the bets double) and you haven't improved, i would slow down. You won't get everyone to fold and at that point one pair is behind. If you do improve to two pair or better, then i keep betting until 7th or i see resistance.

Unfortunately at the low limits no matter how strong you start you still need to improve by the river if you want to win. It is a very card dependent game.
