Its ok to be a little aprhensive about playing no limit stud because it does in fact require a little higher skill level to be successful. A novelty game? It was invented for nl holdem payers to have another game to play? I killed a groundsquirrel with a stick once!!!!!!!! It was invented just in time for evolution to do its part in poker and give us something else to master!!! Your going to have all- in maniacs in all poker so the fact that this guy and that will go all in on this and that street is a given, it is in fact poker. If there is a maniac at the table deal with it and stack your chips neatly when you WIN!

Stud is the truest form of poker left. Why would someone want to mess with it?

NL stud just sounds stupid to me.

Personally, I'd love to try something in-between PL and FL stud - perhaps a variant where bets increased every round - betting $1 when you have three cards, $2 with 4 cards, $3 with five cards, up to $5 on the final street.

Just for a novelty, but who knows? It might just work out well.

All games to come along since 5 stud were basically invented to give the fish something elses to base their hopes on,more cards=more oppurtunity for betting.

Alot of people will tell you 7stud is the truest form of poker that there is,what a shame it would be to see it changed into something less!

Building off of this idea, how's about this:

If it's a stud 10-20 bring in 3 game, for 3rd and 4th street, you can bet 10/raise, 5th and 6th, you can bet 20, and after the last card, it's NL?

Just throwin' it out there. Very Happy
