i lost an all in bet with A 2 3 7 8 to A 4 6 7 8 . can anybody explain the reason behind this ?

You weren't playing razz. Please post the hands in order from high card to low card since that's how they're shown down. You lost with 8732A to 8764A, either you're lying, you weren't playing razz, or you misremembered the hand. Most likely the latter. It was probably 8654A or 8642A.
