| I have about $35 dollars in front of me, and make it $1.50 from the button with Jack-Ten of hearts. The small blind calls, and the big blind makes it $4.50. Thinking about it, I thought I could make a loose $3 call. As the small blind quickly folded. The flop came Kh 2s Ah. Giving me a gutshot Royal flush draw. The big blind bets out again. This time, it's only $2.50 I sit there, making it look like I have a hard decision, sigh, and then put in a raise. Making the bet $6.90 total. He calls me almost instantly. The turn card, a harmless 2d. The big blind checked, and I checked behind him. I shot him a glance as I tapped the table. I looked down as the river had already been dealt. Qh. I looked over as the big blind announced all in. I smiled, picked up my cards and called. He turned up. Kd Ks I just winced as I showed him my Royal. He just shook his head, smacking his hat on the side of the table as he pushed $24.10 worth of chips my way. It was my first Pocket Royal. Oh yeah, I savored it. |

How the heck do you figure that the 2d is harmless?
Before the 2d came out, you had a bunch of outs. Once the 2d fell, giving your opponent a full house, you had a one-outer on the river. |
