| If anyone has ever read SS2 (super system 2) by doyle brunson, they'll understand me. I just finished the book a couple days ago and it had a section about learning different games and being a "Fox." It's a good idea to know a lot of games, I play Omaha H/L, limit holdem, NL holdem, PL holdem, PL Omaha, and 5 card stud/5 card draw. I also play the occasional deuece to 7 lowball or stud. |
I play most of these games also, and i live in wisconsin, so its hard to find a good game of anything but hold em' so I go to the net, and I find alot of good players can be found, plus I really dont care for hold'em, only play it becuase I have to.

I believe there is one technical aspect that prevents ANY split game (Omaha or Stud) from being broadcast on ESPN during WSOP: imagine the displays of each player's hands, the board, AND some type of notation indicating who had what hi and who had what low. You know, similar to this for hold'em:
Chappa: As 10h 100% . . . . Board: Ah Ad 10d
Raymer: 10c 10s 0%
Any display of hole cards, to be analogous, should represent both hi and lo hands (or rather, developing hi/lo hands), along with overall win percentages, during each part of the flop/turn/river.
I'm sure if some techie at ESPN can figure out how to do it, and do it so it's easy to understand, you'll see Stud Hi/Lo on TV next year (I say Stud, because I imagine it would be easier to do tehnically). |
