I was playing a live game this morning and someone other than myself
typed in a comment using my sign-in name.
I'm a little concerned that someone is able to do this. I've sent emails to bugs@fulltilt.com and support@fulltilt.com and have yet to receive a response.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I'm about to pull my account and go elsewhere. |

Were they using the same screenname as the one you were logged on with at the time? This seems unlikely. Or was there just an ever-so-slight deviation.
Do you have multiple accounts and was it one of your other ones?
Did u take a screenshot?
I would think that, at the very least, they know the 'public' IP for the source that logged in. Then again, the IP could've been spoofed
That would freak me out, though, too |

| misskris23, what you said shouldn't happen... if somebody else tries to log in under your SN as you are playing, a screen pops up telling you so... |

| I believe KGB is right. And you should look to see if they maybe had the slightest difference from your name, like lividmur said. |

I did get a response from support and they monitered the room for awhile and couldn't find anything that seemed funny.
I also made a copy of the chat and found the only difference was a couple of capital letters instead of lower case but still can't figure out how someone could type it in as a live player. Usually an observer isn't in bold print.
It hasn't happened again. It sure was weird. The support desk did seem concerned and I appreciated that.
Oh and I only have one screen name.
And I did not know that a pop up alerts you if someone trys to sign in under your name. That's good to know. Thx guys! |

| Actually, I see this often at the play tables...it is an innocuous trick. Another player types in a small comment, then types your username: and a comment...it looks like you are making the comment...it is just a trick |

this is an old trick i used to see on AOhell alot when it first came out. its sometimes referred to as 'casing.' say if someone has a capital i, this can be cased by using a lower case L, example: I = l, or vice versa. this was often used in order to have the 'targets' acct suspended or killed.
hard to distinguish if you arent really paying attention.
a way to check for this is to copy & paste (c/p) their s/n into notepad. usually the difference can been seen easier there. |
