|
Our weekly game doesn't have a standard game for the 5th Tuesday of the month, and a couple of guys were talking about trying HORSE this week. I have a couple of questions..things I should probably know, but guess I just never paid that close attention....
1. When you are switching from Stud H/L to Hold 'em, how do you determine who is the button?
2. Does anyone have a structure for live play they recommend? We usually have about a full table, start out with around 2K-3K chips with bets being 25/50 and target about 4 hours or so of play. I guess the difference is when we are playing one game, we try to tailor the starting stacks to compensate for the increased betting rounds in stud. We like to have enough of a stack to not be short stacked by the 3rd blind level.
Thanks for any input! |

The button should rotate during the Omaha 8 level. Where it stops when Razz starts is where it stays until Holdem. Then the button continues to rotate.
As for the blinds, I'd say if you're worried about the stud levels then create the blinds to go up higher during the HO part with a smaller gap for the stud games.
ie 10/20, 20/40, 30/60, 40/80, 50/100, 100/200, 150/300, 200/400, 250/500..... |

Thanks, Pil!!
I was just going to find and bump this since our game is tonight.
Button action makes sense. As for blind levels...I think we're just going to use our stud structure since that is the heaviest betting-wise and 3 of the 5 games.
Thanks again!! |
