Just an unlucky cooler. I'd be boing broke too.
Not only would I go broke, but I would probably post the HH under a 'Rigged' title too. |

| I go broke, and I post it 2 weeks after it happened, cause that's how long it took the doctors to get the monitor off my foot, and for the techs to fix the hard drive. |

Before I reply, don't misunderstand what I'm saying.
It is a horrible situation to be in, and you WILL lose alot of money in that situation, BUT IMO, you didn't need to go broke on that hand, and I can honestly say that I probably wouldn't have gone broke on that hand.
When a flop like that hits, where it shows 3 to an OESD, a straight flush possibility is always in the back of my mind. I probably just make the call at $22.
Your opponent has 4 cards, and you are beat if he has 9dTd. I know your reply is going to be that you had the 5d, which reduces his possibilty of having the straight flush, but after seeing it be very possible while playing NLHE, it is that much more possible to happen while having twice as many hole cards (not to mention that I've seen some crazy sh!t, lately).
Most players will go broke there....you didn't misplay it. I'm just saying in those situations, I tend to be overly cautious, which in the long run, probably hurts my chances at maximizing my winnings. |

Heads up?
You go broke here every time. There will be enough times where he's shoving the Q-high/K-high flush + boat possibilities enough to make this profitable. |

Hardcore Cooler Someone who slow plays a nutflush isnt likely to get paid on any of their big hands.
"I tend to be overly cautious, which in the long run, probably hurts my chances at maximizing my winnings."

| The first thing I thought when I read the hand history was exactly what cubbies said in her response. That being said, I don't think I'm good enough to fold in that situation. |

During the course of 2 hours, last Saturday...
1. l lost a pot of around 500 , having flopped quads and 2 guys around me raising and reraising , and me just calling , them having straights and one of them hitting the str flush by the river....
2.I lost a pot of about 300 with KK , hitting K on flopp with no draws for anybody , reraising and reraising ...and the guy hits his AAA on the turn...
3.And this hurt me the most ...KKAQ doublesuited ...flopp KJ2 me hitting KKK and having a K flushdraw and a gutshot straight draw....the guy tries to scare me , him having only the AA and a bluffflushdraw , l got him where l wanted him ....raising and reraising to a pot of about 500...and would u believe that the same guy hits the A on turn again ...and holds on to win the pot again.... ....that made me totally sick that day...actually l was still angry a couple of days later , and didnt play at all...such is life sometimes...
ps now that l think about it...l still havent gotten over it... |

| I don't know how you don't go broke here. The odds of someone flopping the nut straight flush are so extremely slim, you really can't even consider it when playing that board. That'd be like folding A's full of 6's when you have AA and the board reads A66. The maximizing of profits on the hands you aren't the dog on should far outweigh any losses when those miracle hands do occur. It's strictly variance. |
