not a bad beat....didnt know where to post this 1

playing the freeroll yesterday, i make it to the last 19 ( 18 pays ) im second last in chips and 19th place guy is sitting out, he had been for over an hour. he gets pushed all in ( he had enough to ante the next hand ) so all the sb had to do was bet min. take the pot, knock out sitting out guy and im in the 2 bux...not to be, sb guy checks all the way, 3 of us at the table told him to bet cause the guy is sitting out, he doesnt listen, care,or whatever the reason and the sitting out guy wins the pot...im forced all in next hand and bye bye me. how do i play on the bubble better than this? im sure i could have sat out the last hour too to collect 2 bux but i dont think its fair. i was pretty upset but then told myself its my own fault for waiting out the short stacks. any advice on bubble play?

If the BB was all in and there was only two in the hand, betting wouldn't have solved your problem. The BB would still see the hand down.

I'm confused, how could the guy sitting out be all-in yet have money for the next ante?If the guy sitting out had enough for the next ante then betting wouldn't have knocked the guy outta the tourny.I would suggest not waiting so long to bet being that short stacked. When I get down to a few bb's I'm looking for an all-in hand or i don't bet.....besides I don't wanna just make the cut,I wanna be in position for the final table.finally, when the blinds are getting big people tend to tighten up to make the cut,so if you get a decent hand i would go all-in and you might just pick up the blinds. If you do get called then atleast you got a hand to possibly double up with........wait, I read the post again and now i'm really really confused. Is the guy sitting out in the big blind?did the ante in the hand youre describing put the guy sitting out all-in?if so, then there woulda been a showdown with out the possibilty of a bet.anyhow good luck to you.

you right my bad, confused myself now. he wasnt all in, he had enough to ante 1 more hand. what i meant was his auto fold was on so all the other guy had to do was bet to take the pot. game should purge ppl after a certain amount of sitting out time. its all good, love full tilt and thank you for taking the time to answer my questions Very Happy

I'm confused why this isn't in the ask the pros section? I like how the title is so simply put and yet he is so confused about where to post it.. Laughing
