So if you were an owner/decision maker in the upcoming draft with one of the early picks, who would you select?

Let's say, for brevity, what your Top 5 would be if it were:

a) NLHE only
b) Mixed Games

This could look something like this:
(I'm just making these picks up, not my actual picks)

NLHE only (a)
1. Phil Ivey
2. Daniel Negreanu
3. Phil Helmuth
4. Doyle Brunson
5. Chris Ferguson

Mixed Games (b)
1. Cyndy Violette
2. Jennifer Harman
3. Daniel Negreanu
4. Barry Greenstein
5. Dave Colcough

How could you leave arieh off both those lists? He's by far one of the better NLH players of the past 5-10 years, even though he doesn't have a lot of bracelets he's made tons of cashes in big tournaments. He showed off his talent this year at the WSOP by earning a bracelet in either omaha or stud (don't remember), but it was a dominate showing.

Tournament Poker or Cash game play? Ivey is the only player that belongs on both lists.

It was Omaha... and to be fair, I didn't like Josh's play at that final table (at least what they showed on TV) at all, nor his WSOP Main Event performance last year...

he's a good player overall, but there isn't a chance in hell I'd put him in a Top 5, and, to be fair, if he was honest, I doubt he would either....

but that's not really the point because I SAID those weren't my picks, I was just posting an example for others to follow for THEIR actual picks

Very Happy
