I have played about 60 PLO 10$ HU sit and go's and I am real close to breaking even over this run of games. I am up a total of 7 bucks.
A few questions...
Is this too small a sample to say anything about my game...
Does anyone else have any experiance playing HU in the 10$ range...The 5$ games are soft compared to $10 games IMO...
I am beginning to wonder if the HU PLO games are just too high variance to make a run at them...Or maybe I am just not that good |

PLO HU is going to be really high variance by default. Not only is PLO high variance, but HU makes it worse. The only thing that would make the variance higher would be to make them Limit Omaha games.
I'd say get the sample up to around 200 before you start making any real assessment. I really don't have much to make a comparison out of, but I could see them being slightly harder just because fewer fish that have no clue what they're doing are willing to play the $10 ones when they can just play the $5 ones. At least in Hold'Em they can fool themselves into thinking that they know what they're doing since they saw it on tv. |

Thanks for the reply,
I think I am going to give up on the HU matches....It has been my experience so far that most of the players I have played against are just as good or maybe even better than me. I don't think there are enough fish available to make this profitable...
I have sat down for a few sessions of 6 max Omaha Hi-Low 2/4 limit and they were quite full of fishes...I might have to try a few more hands there and see how things play out. I know this win rate is probably not sustainable, but I have averaged about 5BB/100 over about 800 hands...
It seems like the 6max tables are high turnover tables(based on my limited experience playing them) Seems like people are buying in for 40 bucks and playing until it is gone(2 or 3 rotations)...So far it has been fairly easy money. |
