Did I deserve to get abused by my opponent for making this call?

Well, of course you didn't deserve to get abused, but yes, that was a pretty horrible call. Also, I don't like the raise preflop. Yes, you have A2, but that is all. You don't have good high connectors like AKJ2, or a backup low like A23x, or anything suited to the ace. I would just limp along in this spot.

Yes, I agree with Strasse, it wasn't a good call IMO. Granted, you were leading, and seemed like a good call after his hand was exposed, but you could have also been in bad shape, too.

There was 2 pair possible, flopping a straight, the flush draw with the Kc or Ac.

Maybe here it worked, but I don't think it is a good habit to get into. There are definately better spots to pick to push than this one.

Ahhh I can see know. I was in bad shape when the cards were turned over aswel. I have just started learning hi/lo and at least I have made the mistake now rather than in a real money situation Wink

Cubbies, go back and read more carefully. The other guy DID have the flush draw, and he hit.

Further, if a 10 would have hit it would have given you a Q-high straight which would have lost to your opponents K-high straight.

Pre-flop your hand was worth a limp and your opponents hand was worth the muck but after the flop his hand had some value and yours became trash.

You don't deserve to get abused, after all you didn't runner runner bad beat the other player and it was play chips 5/10 NL. Your also playing play chips which are a great way to learn the game. Furthermore calling with just top pair (we can ignore the 99 since every one can use it) on a river that has a potential straight/flush/house/quads is very dangerous especially in omaha.
Continue playing play chip tables to get used to the game and move up stakes, players in the higher NL stakes tend to understand the game better and know when to fold (in other words less donkeys Very Happy ). FYI players who play "play money" omaha hi/lo regardless of stakes are REALLY loose compaired to players at...lets say 5/10c or 10/25c NL/PL tables.
