Guys, we have a chat.

Click the link, and either you'll be able to access the chat-room right through the web, or you'll be asked to download some software. Once you download, Click the ROOMS button, then in the top right of the new window, set adult content to ON. Then search MBJ, and our room is the only one that comes up. Right click the room and select Join Room. See you there!

If you have a microphone, you'll be able to talk to everyone there, and even if you don't, you'll be able to hear me talking. Come on to it:

I didn't, but now I am. Some will be able to use it right through the web. I'm not sure why some are not able to.

I had to download the software as well, but the process was painless and searching for the room after that was easy.

I'm trying to install the software, but I everytime I try to run the installer, it stops responding and I have to end the task. Any suggestions, or should I just try again later?

EDIT: Nevermind, got it to download, but I can't get my mic to work w/ the software. I tested it in control panel, and it works fine, but for some reason it won't work in the chat room. Any suggestions?

the software works badly on my computer, and kardshark tells me it doesn't work at all on macs. the reason i had set up the irc room was because it is the most convenient and works on all platforms.. i much prefer irc to web-based chat but if you guys disagree then that's fine i guess.

in fact i just remember that there do exist web-based clients for irc

I have to say that I'm a little confused about why we ended up with this weird software instead of something more standard like mIRC.

here's the web based irc client i was referring to. it would have to be set up by someone who has a web server and is knowledgable about this sort of stuff.

UFO, I just changed the room rating on the paltalk chat to G - General Audience including minors. Offensive language automatically filtered. Anyone should be able to find this room in the list now.

hujwang, GripHoldOn asked me to reopen the paltalk room, so I did. Seems more people are willing to use this one too, so I dont know ..... I guess we can just keep both opened, and let people use the one that is most comfortable for them.

GripHoldOn: jon already is insane
jongreenway: exactly
2 high flush: that must be it
jongreenway: i just raised UTG 3.5 bb
jongreenway: QsQh
GripHoldOn: see?
jongreenway: BB calls
GripHoldOn: insanity
GripHoldOn: who would raise preflop with off-color queens
jongreenway: flop AdKd9d
jongreenway: WTF
jongreenway: some guy just smooth called a river bet
jongreenway: with QUADS
GripHoldOn: hes working his tight image
jongreenway: this is painful
jongreenway: i hate pokerstars
GripHoldOn: its correct to call any bet
GripHoldOn: if you have a chance of winning
GripHoldOn: 1 out
GripHoldOn: easy call
GripHoldOn: 0 outs
GripHoldOn: easy fold
GripHoldOn: its simple really
jongreenway: lol
2 high flush: im putting my last $5 in one sng
jongreenway: last?
jongreenway: busto?
GripHoldOn: yes
2 high flush: dont have the patience to get ripped apart in 4 $1 SNG's
2 high flush: so just gonna let it all go in one
jongreenway: alright
jongreenway: guy limps
jongreenway: i raise with AQ suited
GripHoldOn: yeah
jongreenway: another guy goes all in
jongreenway: guy who limps calls
jongreenway: i fold
GripHoldOn: bad fold
jongreenway: QQ vs K5
jongreenway: K5!?!?!?!?!
jongreenway: of course he hits K ... and 5
GripHoldOn: lets break down that call jon
GripHoldOn: the guy asked himself
GripHoldOn: were the cards feeling it?
GripHoldOn: his answer: yes
GripHoldOn: was he right? yes... look at board!
GripHoldOn: good play by him
jongreenway: urgh
jongreenway: it was suited in clubs
jongreenway: thumbs up
GripHoldOn: turns out jon
GripHoldOn: if the cards are feeling it
GripHoldOn: its always correct to call
2 high flush: the correct play with the most +EV is to go buy a shotgun and blow the back off your head off
GripHoldOn: implied blast odds
2 high flush: that way your family can use the shotgun for home security
2 high flush: afterwards
jongreenway: thats teh same guy who i raised QQ to and flop came AK9
jongreenway: he bet right into me
GripHoldOn: yup
GripHoldOn: he prolly had
GripHoldOn: 2d3c
GripHoldOn: but he knew that his hand was feeling it
jongreenway: prolly
GripHoldOn: thats what you have to learn jon
GripHoldOn: when are your cards feeling it
GripHoldOn: it dont matter AA or 27
GripHoldOn: if 27 is feeling it
GripHoldOn: ill take that over aces
jongreenway: when EV is positive
jongreenway: im feeling it
GripHoldOn: yeah
GripHoldOn: but as weve learned today jon
GripHoldOn: sometimes its correct to fold +EV
GripHoldOn: cuz ull probably lose to a bad beat
jongreenway: lol
jongreenway: if you are playing within ur bankroll
jongreenway: never a reason to fold +ev
GripHoldOn: well heres an interesting example:
GripHoldOn: its correct to fold AA
GripHoldOn: vs four players each with AK
GripHoldOn: cuz what if flop were QJT
GripHoldOn: then u lose!
jongreenway: lol
jongreenway: imagine 5 way all in
jongreenway: AA vs KK vs KK vs QQ vs QQ
GripHoldOn: then u only haev one out!
GripHoldOn: ooo
GripHoldOn: A23 flop
GripHoldOn: J turn
GripHoldOn: T river
GripHoldOn: ****
GripHoldOn: i messed up
GripHoldOn: imagine
GripHoldOn: AA vs KQ KQ KQ KQ
GripHoldOn: A23 flop
GripHoldOn: J turn
GripHoldOn: T river
jongreenway: haha
jongreenway: i cant even raise against htis fish
jongreenway: calll call call call call
jongreenway: allin ?
jongreenway: call
jongreenway: oh look, he sucked out again
GripHoldOn: its not sucking out
