You HAVE to raise preflop here. The SB could have any 2 cards to complete the bet. It's a shorthanded game that you are effectively playing HU where any ace should usually be taken to the river, and as our opponent has shown zero agression, we have a positional advantage so why the hell wouldnt we raise?
On the flop you should raise too. Chances are the flop missed him too and he is betting with nothing. |

| Raise pre-flop. 3-handed AJs is a pretty good hand and you need to counteract your positional disadvantage. You'll force sweet-t11 to decide if it was worth posting to play this hand and you'll have initiative post-flop against hmmr. |

3 handed but i get what you mean. 2nd scenario then, exact same, posted BB checks, SB limps, i raise, both of them call. same flop. |

This kinda doesnt make sense. if you're on the button you act first preflop and the blinds can't limp, or are we saying you are the BB, and the button&SB both limp, then you raise and get called.
I think the answer for both is actually the same. You bet/raise the flop. |

| You still raise preflop and bet the flop as neither of your opponents have shown any agression. You may have the best hand. |
