Nah. A guy hit trip queens on the flop with (K,K,K,10) today, but that's just so rare. From the small blind? Who knows, I'm still new to the game. If it was (A,A,A,K) with the king suited to one of the aces I'd call one bet from late position.

its not worth it because you have only one out in the deck to make your hand, and on top of that you only have MAYBE one draw. i usually fold these hands even if the pot hasn't been raised.

I would call only if it was a cheap flop. To get quads in the hole would be almost impossible, but I guess it could happen

I've gotten AAA7 and the flop was 29A so I had trips. I won the pot so it's sometimes useful.

This hand is never profitable in any position whatsoever. Just like homey said earlier, You have one out in the deck to hit trips and at a full table everyone is getting 4 cards.. thats 36 cards that are immediately dead. Now factor in the burns that is 40 dead cards so wouldn't that be 76% chance your card is dead? Now you only have 1 possibility to make a flush for a winning hand and you are trying to hit TTT to make T's full (Even though someone can still beat you with the case T) or hitting TJK for a straight. Simply not profitable at all.
