Getting down to the bubble in a $5 MTT i was below the average at the time of this hand. And it was his SB vs my BB

I think you way overplayed this hand, calling the bet on the flop was a mistake, IMO. You were only holding a pair of fives for the high, and had a non-nut low draw. Unless you had a real solid read that this guy was betting out his low draw, I don't understand the call here on the flop. The raise on the turn, again you're making a play with no made hand and no real good re draws (maybe a gut shot) so I'm not sure why you'd raise here. Finally, the 5 on the river is only going to get you in trouble, best case scenario is you win the high, which would only get you your money back because it's a heads up pot. And that's if your opponent didn't make a straight. At this point, I see you with two mediocre chances at both pots, a non-nut low and a set of fives. Best case scenario is you take half the pot, I really can't see you scooping with this hand, and both of your hands are vunerable, so I think there's a good chance you get scooped instead. Unless the guy was on 2,3 and betting out his nut low draw/made low hand, if you put him on that, then kudos for your read.
