I see on some of the casino web sites that they have independent companies that maintain a level and fair playing field. However, not many poker sites advertise fair play. I have been in many rooms and seen four people all-ins with everyone at the same advantage. One person has a flush draw, another a straight draw, another with a small pair and the board has lots of over cards.
Just wondering. I have not had that many bad beats to make me want to quit playing online, I was just curious.
Thanks. |

| The pros who play FTP are also an advertisement for fair play. |

What??!! So you're telling me the pros do the programming for this website. Your statement makes no sense. the pros have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. they get paid to play here and that is it.
I wouldn't believe any website that disclaimed "fair gaming", especially this place where bad play gets rewarded time and time again. Suckouts can happen on good calls where someone is an underdog. but consistently seeing people calling where they have no odds and no draws and no business calling and then seeing them suckout with runner runner or what have you is like an epidemic at this place, and i'm sure all others. |

I would have to agree with you. It seems like that is why there are so many callers every hand. I play strong poker, raising before the flop and playing the position, however, when I raise, there are four or five callers, all with nothing. But they always catch that runner runner, or the board pairs to give you crap. |

My statement makes absolute sense. Companies have used celebrity endorsements to gain the public's trust for years. And do you really think several respected pros would endorse a crooked site? Besides, the pros helped develop the software, so yes, in a way they are the programmers.
Do the math. Start tracking how often your opponents hit their flushes, and you'll see. It's about 1/3 of the time if they stay in until the river. The same goes for open-ended straights. Most people don't protect their hand well enough. They're too busy trying to trap people with big pairs to realize they should bet and win the pot before they get outdrawn. |

I'm with BOYNAMEDSUE on this one, believe me guys ive had my share of BAD BEAT AFTER BAD BEAT, when people make seemingly RETARDED decisions but there are two things you must consider before saying the site is "crooked" :
#1 - if u play a live game for 2 hours you will see MAYBE 30-40 hands on the high end, whereas online in 2 hours you will see over 100 AT LEAST. So, obviously in an online session ur FAR more likely to see crazy **** happen. I get insane bad beats in real life too, BELIEVE ME if u just ride it out, continue to play A+ poker, the math will balance itself out, u just have to control yourself.
#2 - For someone to go to a casino and play a tournament they need AT LEAST $65 minimum, and its a much more involved process, so generally you will get more people that are serious about poker based on the time and effort they are willing to dedicate to play a tourney at a casino. Online on the other hand, you have children, retarded people, and MOST importantly TENS OF THOUSANDS of ESPN-watching "all-in" junkies who treat online poker as more of a video game, its much easier to throw away 30 bucks by clicking a button than it is to have it stacked up in front of you in the form of tournament chips and just throw them all away. There is like 20 of us that play live every monday - of that 20 only like 6 of us consistently win, and like 4-5 are complete psychos - thats 25% out of 20. so if one in four players are crazy and dont care on here, just imagine how many there is!!! dont get mad at these people -THEY PAY MY CAR INSURANCE, FIXED MY BRAKES, TREAT ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND OUT TO NICE DINNERS OCCASIONALLY, AND USUALLY GIVE ME A NICE 2-400 BONUS EVERY WEEK TO BLOW ON STUPID CRAP. I LOVE THE RETARDS!! |

| Lol - the retard pool is indeed much greater, especially at lower limits. Yes, there are plenty of idiots who call with anything because "it's only $1.00" rather than "that's another bet" or whatever (sry - limit thinking here, but it applies to NL too - "it's only $0.30," not "it's 3x the BB). If you get 4 or 5 callers against your aces, you're far from a favorite to win. That's just hte way it is. Keep stats - when you find proof of people hitting too often, print up your numbers and have us look at them. Then we can go ahead and talk about this, with numerical, empirical data to back it up. |
