How about adding a "More time" or "think" button for NL games. I mean, giving me only 15 seconds to call a $40 bet doesn't give me much time to do math or consider what the other player may be betting out with.... so I end up oftentimes with either a rushed call, a fold, or trying to decide ahead of time how much I'm going to be willing to call should someone bet out...

Even if this only appeared with bets over a certain amount ($10?) it would be helpful to give a player an extra 15-20 seconds. If you don't hit the THINK button, you'd time out and fold in the normal 15, but it would give someone in a serious game a bit more time, similar to a B&M.

i think a time bank would be a useful feature... lets say, for an entire day, a person gets two minutes worth of thinking time... i think this is plenty enough, and it would work for both tournaments and cash games...

I love this idea. Usually I have a sense of my best play pretty quickly but every now and then it might be nice to think at a relaxed pace, especially when I am involved in a big pot.

I am very surprised this isn't offered already, especially when it comes to higher stakes. In a B&M casino, and there are hundreds or more on the line, there is never a rush to a decision, let alone tournaments.

A time bank or just extended time for larger stakes would be a good addition (granted, I am strictly a low limit player, but can still see how it would greatly benefit the higher limit games).

i think the time bank is one of party poker's best features... i'm sure full tilt will have this feature set up as well in the near future...

In sites that can give you 2 minutes every time you act in a MTT (Paradise poker) there will be absolute **** morons who take 1.59 every time they act near the bubble so they make the money.

Stars has a good set up - they have a time bank of 60 seconds. You can use it all in one hand, or you can use say 20 seconds of it to think about this hand, then next time you have to think, you have 40 seconds left in your time bank. I'm not sure how often it resets, though.

Party Poker has a time bank for tournament play. Once you use up the time that's it, it's gone. It's sixty seconds if I remember correctly. You can use it on one hand or several until its gone. It did come in handy and when I used it I only used ten or fifteen seconds of they sixty for a diffucult decision. Just remember the old saying, think long think wrong.
This isnt true for all things of course but I think it is for poker.

when players are on the bubble for a tournament, the tables are all played hand-for-hand anyways, so using up your time bank here would be a waste...

This is one of the worst aspects of online poker. Combine this with a lack of visual reads on your competition and much of the "skill" of the game is gone.

I disagree that B&M give you ample time as the dealers at the Harrah's in my area will tap the table or get impatient looks on their faces if you don't act within like 10-15 seconds. Cmon folks, this is all about the bottom line, P-R-O-F-I-T. This site is not run by good samaritans running a poker school. That's the store front, but behind the scenes is a money making machine squeezing every last penny out of speedy, knee jerk play.

They really do need some way to either request an extension or maybe even buy one by re-posting a blind or paying a certain percentage of the pot. I can already see that being unfair if you're all-in vs. a chip stack that could just be pushing the table around. A fixed amount per day is probably the best way to handle it.

i would love to see this intoduced. I can usually make make my decisions within the given time but the are those few occasions when a big re raise is made that i would like time to replay the hand in my head and do the math. The pokerstars idea seems to work well.
