| Well, chasing flushes is not a good thing imo unless shortstacked. Usually if I dont hit the flop for at least 2 pair, I throw it away. You need to remember that the more facecards in your hand, the less there is in the deck to make you a hand, I usually dont play 4 facecards hard, unless I get trips or flush. This was just one of the situations that you should'nt have chased a flush. He had already made a straight, so even a king wouldn't have helped you. I dunno, I probably would've folded after the flop. |

I love all facecards in Omaha. TJQK is my favorite hand. Three of a kind in your hand is bad, because then you're stealing your own outs, but other than that, you're always going to need to the flop to hit your hole cards, no matter what they are. I really don't get what you're trying to say Remoth.
OP: Six max you can lead out with two pair once but only when using two unpaired cards on the flop. If one of your pairs is a board pair, you're done with the hand.
I like the bet pre-flop. On the flop there is already a possible full-house out there so you need to slow down (read: stop). DorkyDeric led out so I would probably fold here. Definitely fold the turn. He hasn't shown any weakness and you have nothing. Do not chase draws in Omaha. Chase redraws, meaning you already have a strong hand and you're trying to make a better one. |

I definitely agree. I usually throw away anything short of two pair post flop, unless I've hit a pretty good open ender or flush draw.
Typically, I wont even play a rainbow deal because I cant make a flush. |

Huh? He's in a cash game. It's simple: you draw to the flush if you're getting the right price, and you need to devalue that draw moreso than in hold 'em because people will almost certainly have a redraw if you make the flush on the turn. Oh, and it has to be the nut flush, unless you've got a really good read.

Flopped 2 pair is the newb go broke hand. When I flop 2 pair, it had better be top 2 pair, and the board needs to be uncoordinated. You just won't win many pots with unimproved 2 pair, and when you do, it'll be because somebody else missed a huge draw.

You obviously don't know he's made a straight. And oh, by the way, if you're getting the right price, a flush does beat a straight. I mean it! The main reason you're not aggressively chasing that flush is 1. the paired board and 2. getting the wrong price, which the OP took care of himself by raising. |
