I was plaing 0.50/1.00 limit on party the other day, and won a $53 dollar pot. The biggest pot (in terms of big bets) that I have ever seen in limit. I had pocket jacks and flopped quads against a guy who flopped a boat. Another guy turned the nut flush, and two others were just being morons. Capped betting the whole way - schweet....

this type of situation just happens once in a while, you really cant do anything about it... one time i flopped a boat and another player flopped quads in a live game, so things like this just happen...

happened to me in real life last night, I was playing a live cash game, 1/2$ blinds. had a J 4, preflop, I was in first position and raised it up to 4$, two people called, flop came out J J 3, I raised it up 4$ more, and one person folded, the other raised me to 10$, I was putting him on a J with a higher kicker, was hesitant to bet, but when it came down to it, I couldnt fold trips, was hoping for a 4 to come out. next card is a 9. no flush draws on the table, other person bets 10$, I call, im already too deep into the pot to bail out now. still thinking im beat with my 4 kicker, any AJ would crush me. next card comes out J, hit quads on the river. other person bets me 35$, obviously i was quick to call, he had pocket AA's and hit his full house on the river. would have been a hard hand for me to check/fold

Atleast yours was play money...

I got beat yesterday by Quads vs my Full House, Lost over $30 on it.

One thing about playing play money is so many of these players bet, call, raise, reraise, go all in with anything just because it is play money. They even brag about it and tell you they dont care. So if your playing play money tables expect a lot more bad beats. Especially when your getting 2-3 going in against you, thats how I remember it when I played those tables.
