| A lot of tournaments are now taking an automatic 3% out of the prize pool for tips, so it's important to know whether that has been taken out or not. |

Good question, what's a standard % tip on big pots in cash games or % of tournament winnings? |

| Good question... I placed 7th last week and tipped $200 for my $4000 payday. I found out later I was the only one that tipped. What should you tip (%) anyone know? |

| Most of the books and people that I have run this by say 10-15% is a good average. If they take an automatic 3% than 7-12% is good. I usually look at the amount of the win and the quality of the tournament staff when figuring the amount to tip. |

That might be a good tip for a server, but for a dealer??? Hell no!
I would say 3-5% but that's just me. |

Way too much, I'd think 5% would be good for a win, & I would look to give less than that if I didn't win the tournament. |

Some of the dealers I have talked with said they make more money at the lower levels 1/2,2/4,3/6 then the higher ones. Also a gaming director I know said a $10 tip is solid at iny level in cash games. As for tournys I have no clue. I give what I feel. |
