| I have fun playing low/mid-stakes PL OH 8b cash games and tournaments. Eventually I think it would be fun to compete with players in live games. Where are pot-limit live games played and at what stakes? Also where could I find tournaments. Is there a pot-limit hi/lo event in the WSOP or other events like it? Any information would be appreciated. |

there were various omaha hi/low tourneys in the wsop this year, if you go to www.wsop2006.com, you can see what the buyins and how many omaha hi/low tourneys there were this year, as far as where are they played... and what stakes, just do a little research on google |

| All the WSOP tourneys were Limit. It is very hard to find PLO8, because it is not that popular of a game compared to the limit version. |

| PLO8 does not exist in B&M cardrooms, nor in any tournament schedule. You'll have to get your fix online. |

| PLO8 is non existent in bricks and mortar because of the amount of time it would take to split pots. Imagine 5 people going all-in and having to count everyone's stacks, assuming they even stacked it uniformly. Then what do you do. Do you create 5 huge pots in the middle of the table and split from there. What if all 5 end up with the same straight? You'd play like 3 hands an hour. Not very profitable for a casino or card room. |

At the end of November, Trump Taj Mahal in AC will have a series of tournaments. One is PLO8. I just about dropped over dead when I saw this, and called the room to confirm it. Yup, it's for real. I will be playing this event.
It mat be the first live PLO8 tourney ever known to exist. It may be the last after the dealers complain. Fir now I'm glad to see it available. |

| At the brick and mortar where I play in CA, we do have occasional PL O8 tourneys, but it's only advertised as PL because legally the shop cannot advertise NL games (NL is considered "gambling" by city ordinance). The stack sizes are small - about 800 starting chips - and the starting blind round is 25/50, so very often you have people going all in by the turn. It's also a way to encourage spending the extra $$ for rebuys. |
