I was in a stud hi ring game the other day on line and I wa the bring in with 66(2), several higher paint cards all called the bring in but nobody completed it. 4th street brought me an additional 2 giving me a really weak 2 pair. To me, this is a throw away hand esp with all the overcards out there. My cards were still live I checked(good or bad here?) Someone with a K on 4th bet so I folded. I folded because I feel that medium and small pairs as well as small 2 pairs are easily beaten and often misplayed by a lot of people. Good or bad move here? Some of youmay haev seen 5th I assume to see if you could catch a 2 or a 6 but usually I find that these are costly types of hands being so small in rank

not knowing any specifics on the hand, i'd say it was a bad fold on 4th. the reason you're staying in with wired sixes, is to possibly hit a set and have it concealed to get you paid off. right here if you have all live outs, i would call the 4th street bet and if it looks dangerous afterwards, i'd perhaps lay it down after 5th. you're right in that weak two pairs isn't a great hand, especially to take to the river, but with live cards, i would take one more off and then re-assess my hand.

I think that it was a bad fold by you, with 2 pair straight out, id stick it out to see if you would have hit a Full House.

Do you remember what the winning hand was in the end man?

Yea, with the SB on 4th I think taking off one more card at the very least would have been the better play. Making a boat by 7th I think is around a bit better than 4:1 against. I should have recognized that right there. Good odds and live cards! What the **** was I thinking! It wa a very bad fold. Oh well, learn by mistakes as long as you know you may have made one eh. I am getting to the point where I usually don't make too many mistakes like this one but not sure what happened.

Winning hand: str8, K high I believe.

Thanks for the comments. Wish more were intersted in stud here. It truly is a great game that hopefully will one day make a bit of a comeback in live and online play. Before HE took over stud was still going fairly strong
