I have 0 tourney luck. The first hand the guy did have a made low, so I can't fault him for the play.But hand 2, ugh. Trip 7s and an ace high flush draw against two 8s and a queen high flush draw. I needed those chips!

Ok Devil on 2nd hand you did nothing wrong. Would have seen a raise if he caught before 7th st.

1st hand I thought the same way you did. Just keep getting your money with best hands in middle and you will win big. Patient on tourney games is hard.

Hands like this are exactly what usually knocks me out of the HORSE tournaments. Some idiot thinking they have to chase half the pot with a bad low ends up hitting perfect cards for a scoop. I've been asked why we always seem to blame poor stud players for us losing a large portion of chips and your hands here are perfect examples. You should play Jonah as much as possible though, he looks like an ATM when he's not hitting.

Well I'm not too sure what you were doing in the first hand with A-5-7. Low chasing is never a good idea IMO, the odds just don't work as well as people think. If they're all the same suit, then fair enough, otherwise just don't do it.

The 2nd hand was unlucky, but you were after a flush, rather than a set. Given that you had 777 on your board, he wouldnt have called/raised if he couldnt beat you, so it's one to use more caution with.

First hand is not a very good hand, A57. But it's OK to see fourth street since there were no raises on third. But you have to fold immediately to a bet on fourth when you paired your 7. Now you have a truly bad hand.

Second hand, same thing. If fourth street doesn't give you that fourth suit, bail immediately. A pair of 7s in Stud/8 is suicide. It's neither a good high nor a good low.

Third hand, leading out on fifth was a bad idea. Check-call fifth, fold sixth.

I was extremely frustrated that night, but the random beats I took in that tourney were sickening. Those were 3 of 10.
