I was looking into this, and apparently for only 90$ you can get an acct. However you do need a valid/legal passporte. I was thinking about doing this myself. They say it is very easy to use, and your acct can be monitored online by yourself. Sorry if this has already been posted but I just wanted to throw some more options out there. Have a good 1 guys.

Please let me know what you think about doing this, however I am thinking about doing it.

Agreed, I couldn't find any info on minimum balances but the ones I did research were roughly $10,000 daily balances.

But, no charge to open an account.

How much is the minimum deposit for a credit card?

The minimum deposit is decided individually, usually it must be equal to the credit card monthly credit. So if your credit card has for example a $5.000monthly spending limit, your minimum balance must be $10.000.

It says the minimum deposit is 1K... what is the point? All you have to do is get a US Bank acount and sav yourself $89 on start up fees.... gimic

i am a canadian. i have several US friends who live in Canada during the
summer. they love the fishing.... but beyond that I know many of them
have regular canadian bank accounts. so try it. no minimum 10,000 etc. needed. if you have a canadian a/c you can use "use my bank" for deposits. a major bank up here is the royal bank of canada. www.royalbank.com. you could also
try www.ing.com which is a major international bank. gl to all my american poker friends. i support you 100%.

guspckpckt this has occured to me, but need an address. I suppose one could obtain a Canadian PO Box. One would also need to live close enough to drive to the bank and get their $$$ when needed. What's the exchange rate these days? Might be closer and less hastle to just go play in the local live games.

i posted this on another thread also but think there is a lot of interest in it so I am adding it here. I found this site that is offering an offshore account with a visa debit card. Minimum deposit is 100 US and they only charge normal account fees. The card comes with 2 addresses your mailing address and an overseas one. I deposited an am waiting for my card now.
